00:06Several trips to Visayas, Mindanao, and Southern Luzon have been canceled today due to Hurricane Pepito.
00:13Based on the Paranaque Integrated Terminal Exchange or PITX, as of 7.30am today,
00:21all trips to Visayas and Mindanao through Matnug Port have been canceled.
00:26The trip to San Jose, Mindoro, through Batangas Port, and the trip to Bus Pamasbate City,
00:35through Pilar Port, and the trip to Pavirak, Catanduanes, through Tabaco Port, have been canceled.
00:42Aside from the bus trip, several flights were canceled by Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific
00:49based on the appeal of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines or CAAP.
00:54Passengers are being reminded to check the status of your trip before going to the terminal
01:05if it has been canceled to avoid being stranded at the terminal.
01:11As the landfall of Hurricane Pepito approaches, the Department of Social Welfare and Development or DSWD
01:20will continue to provide assistance to families who were evacuated from their homes early.
01:24According to DSWD Region 5, 15,900 family food packs have been distributed to the communities in the region.
01:32Hot meals, temporary assistance, and other primary assistance have also been provided to 260 families
01:40who were stranded in the areas in the region.
01:43DSWD and other government agencies will continue to monitor the situation for those who have been affected by the storm.
01:51They have assured that they are ready to help those who have been affected by the storm.
