00:00An unemployed man has been charged in the Ipoh Magistrate's Court with the murder of
00:08his aunt.
00:10Lee Hau Yee, age 21, nodded as the charge under Section 302 of the Penal Code was read
00:16before Magistrate Siti Nora Sharif on Friday.
00:19No plea was recorded as the case falls under the jurisdiction of the High Court.
00:24According to the charge sheet, Lee is accused of murdering 54-year-old Lee Hui Ting between
00:301am on November 6 and 8.25am on November 10 at a residence on Jalan Pengkalan Barat 25,
00:38Taman Puteri Lindungan Bintang Kinta.
00:41Bail was not offered and the next court mention is set for February 18, 2025.

00:53Sariat stated that the accused allegedly caused his aunt's death following a heated
00:59argument, during which he reportedly became angry and punched her repeatedly until she
01:04fell down a flight of stairs.
01:06Police found her decomposing body on Sunday after her brother called around 8.30am reporting
01:12her missing.
01:13DCP Zulkafli noted that her body is believed to have been decomposing for four days.
