00:00I was born in Baguio, I grew up in Baguio, and I studied in Baguio.
00:05In my 38 years, 8 months, and 20 days, almost 12 years, I was assigned to Cordillera.
00:13I served the public.
00:15The cultural tradition here is different.
00:28Only the elders have the right to decide.
00:30That's how it is with the indigenous.
00:32That's the challenge.
00:34Because I'm a strong advocate of youth empowerment and leadership.
00:38Developing their leadership intentionally.
00:41I challenge them and tell them, you're not a future leader.
00:45If there's any time that you should be a leader, it should be now.
00:48Age should never be a factor in leadership.
00:50That's what I want to change with our elders here.
00:53You should allow our young people to lead.
00:56And you should allow our young people.
