00:00Hello, I'm Job Buchanan, the editor of the Falkirk Herald, and I'm here to tell you
00:04about some of the stories that are making the headlines in our print edition, which
00:07is on sale now. We leave this week on a double tragedy on our roads, with two men killed
00:13within 48 hours, one on Bellstite Road and the other in the heart of Falkirk Town Centre.
00:19We've news of a multi-million pound growth deal which was signed at Rosebank Distillery.
00:25We've comment from the Scottish Secretary, the Deputy First Minister and the Council
00:29Leader on what it will mean for Falkirk and Grangemouth. Falkirk Council was also putting
00:35schools in the spotlight, and we've details of how the poverty attainment gap is narrowing
00:39locally but is still significant. A promise that by improving the quality of school meals
00:45it won't increase the cost, and a commitment from the Director of Education that pupils
00:51don't miss classes as a punishment for not wearing a blazer. We've eight pages of photographs

01:42gates that many of us will have passed but perhaps not know the story behind. In sport
01:47we're highlighting Charlotte Ascombe, who has been named Youth Volunteer of the Year,
01:52and we've also eight gold medals for Falkirk Tae Kwon Do, and success for Sparta boxers
