The Selangor Road Transport Department issued 3,855 notices for various violations during a 12-day special motorcycle operation that began on Nov 1.

During the operation at the Petaling Jaya Toll Plaza (southbound) on the Damansara-Puchong Expressway (LDP) Tuesday night, Director Azrin Borhan reported that the majority of offences were related to vehicle technical issues, accounting for 1,644 notices.

00:00GPJ Selangor is carrying out a special GPJ-Selangor motorcycle operation starting from 1st November until 31st December 2024.
00:26The operation will last for two months and today we have mobilized 325 members of the GPJ Selangor to carry out the operation for two months.
00:39The objective of this operation is to reduce accidents among motorcyclists and to monitor, detect and take action against motorcyclists who violate the rules of the Road Law.
00:54The main objective of the GPJ Selangor operation this time is to ensure that all passengers are comfortable driving and we also enforce against motorcycles that do not have LKM or additional time LKM,
01:08no insurance protection, violates the traffic rules, that is, red lights, modify motorcycles in an extreme way, narrow and illegal racing and do not wear a helmet.
01:20From the aspect of location change throughout this special motorcycle office, there are often accidents in the area, based on information obtained from the JSPT.
01:30During the operation, the GPJ Selangor will cooperate with other agencies such as the Malaysian Royal Police, the Malaysian National Anti-Drug Agency,
01:39and also the Loboraya concession companies such as PLAS, Grand Saga, NPE, Litrak and so on.

01:51The GPJ also urged the public to file a complaint directly via the MyGPJ application or e-complaint at gpj or email adwantraffic at gpj.gov.my along with complete evidence of the violations found.
