00:00On Wednesday, Pets Day, an animal exhibit was visited by the RSP.

00:05This is a competition, but it's not just a competition.

00:08Why?

00:09Because there are animals fighting each other every day.

00:12Let's watch this.

00:20A dance competition, singing, or even a pageant competition.

00:26But if it's going to be a contest, it's not going to be about people.

00:29It's going to be about animals.

00:32A competition was held at a mall in Alabang

00:35organized by a certified fish lover named Owen.

00:38It's where different types of fish,

00:42known as arowana, are caught.

00:44Arowana is a type of fish

00:46that has a long body and shiny scales.

00:50It's also known as a dragonfish

00:53because its swimming style

00:55is similar to that of a dragon.

00:58And it's believed to bring good luck.

01:02Owen believes that with the help of producing an event like this,

01:06Filipinos will have an awareness

01:09that just like in other countries,

01:11there is a competition like this in the Philippines.

01:14What you see behind me is an arowana aquarium.

01:18This is a competition.

01:19This is a competition of super red and gold arowana.

01:23My main goal here is to show the public

01:27and other hobbyists that there is an event like this

01:31where there is an arowana competition in the Philippines.

01:35Mostly, this is done in Indonesia or other countries.

01:38So now, we have this in the Philippines.

01:41I want to encourage other hobbyists

01:43to try, participate, or take care of arowana.

01:47Aside from that,

01:48other animal lovers were not surprised by the exhibit.

01:52Because of this, all types of animals are welcome.

01:56One of them is the orange dream calico snake

02:00by the exhibitor, Niza Ho.

02:03This one I'm holding is a ball python.

02:06This type of snake is one of the most popular snakes

02:09in the pet keeping hobby

02:11because it has a lot of mutations available.

02:13So, there are a lot of choices.

02:15It's endless possibilities for breeders

02:19because of its different morphs and combinations.

02:21That's why a lot of people enjoy breeding here.

02:24This proves that not all animals should be afraid.

02:28Even if they are wild animals,

02:30they should still be taken care of.

02:32As they say,

02:34love for all living creatures

02:36is the most noble attribute of a man.
