00:06best way to describe it, is I would go down to his house when I was at Cambridge, which
00:11just has eight weeks terms, I'd go down every three weeks to receive a beating with a cane
00:18on bare bottom. I was getting up towards about 200 strokes by the end,
00:26and that would obviously cause bleeding at the bottom, and we'd just have to wear nappies
00:32to stop the blood soaking through onto our trousers. After three weeks, the wound had
00:37healed and then you could go again. That was a bit crude, but there you go.
