We take to Sauchiehall Street to ask Glaswegians their thoughts on how the local government has handled financial pressures.
Transcript
00:00Any cuts to local government is detrimental basically and I think it has a much greater impact on individuals in a place than like national government if you like, I think.
00:10I'm not impressed by the level of decisions that have taken over the past, down through the years.
00:17The last couple of decades have been a disaster for my industry, which is manufacturing systems.
00:23And we've lost, we gained electronics, Motorola and folk like that and IBM's a shadow now of what it was.
00:35And all the rest of the handset type brigade have all disappeared again from Scotland, so I'm a bit annoyed about that.
00:44I think local infrastructure, local community services, local social services are very important and should be properly funded, yeah?
00:52Apart from that I can't think of any solutions to the circumstance we find ourselves in.
