00:00Forty-one of the BPO companies raided by Bataan have been arrested.

00:10One of their guarantors is a congressman.

00:14He's talking about Jun Veneracion.

00:20In the raid of the PAOK or Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission in Central One, Bataan last month,

00:26hundreds of Filipinos and Maniagas were arrested.

00:28But under the order of the Bureau of Immigration, forty-one foreigners were released on November 7 without bail.

00:34To do that, Bataan's guarantor, congressman Albert Garcia, and the spokesperson of Central One Bataan, stood up.

00:41It's more difficult than just paying cash bail.

00:46Because when you release them under recognizance, you are taking responsibility for them.

00:54In fact, congressman Albert Garcia and myself thought about it because we have to make sure that they are okay.

01:02That's why they are under our custody.

01:04But before Garcia and the forty-one foreigners were guaranteed, they didn't promise that their record will be clean.

01:09They also promised to answer if anyone can escape or if anything will happen.

01:14There is no intervention. There is no form of influence to be able to do this.

01:20There is no payment or whatever it is that is being issued.

01:25We are trying to get congressman Garcia's statement.

01:28The supporters of Central One, the Authority of Freeport Area of Bataan, also made a statement.

01:34It is an attached agency of the Office of the President.

01:37In its statement, Central One did not see any problems with the regular inspection of various government agencies.

01:43In addition, Central One's contribution to the economy is important and provides livelihoods to more than 1,000 employees, most of whom are Filipinos.

01:53But Paok, who is involved in illegal activities of Central One,

01:58came out in their background investigation that four of its foreign employees have criminal records in different countries.

02:06There are records of scamming, human trafficking and drugs.

02:11What we saw here is that their operation there is like they are hiring without checking the background of their workers there.
