00:00If you talk to me about your ideal Christmas dinner, what are you having?
00:04Talk me through everything that's going on.
00:07My wife likes to be fancy.
00:10I'm quite happy with a goose, and I don't like turkey because it's dry.
00:14I like a capon.
00:16I like Brussels sprouts, she hates them.
00:19Yorkshire puddings.
00:22Roast parsnips.
00:24Roast potatoes.
00:26Mashed carrots and swede.
00:29A good gravy, that's important.
00:32I've already ordered the turkey, so we're having that with all the trimmings,
00:38like roast potatoes, roast parsnips and carrots.
00:43Stuffing, gravy.
00:45Just a classic, you know, turkey with all the trimmings.
00:49Nice wine, nice dessert, and then a little sleep afterwards,
00:52after watching the King.
00:55Do Yorkshire puddings belong on your menu?
00:58It would be a crime not to have Yorkshire pudding.
01:01And don't forget sprouts.
01:03Or parsnips, and all the other little things.
01:06Bring them all.
01:07Somebody says, do you want Christmas pudding?
01:09It's usually too much.
01:11But later on in the afternoon, I do.
01:13I'm one of them people, I eat my dinner and then I have a snooze.
01:17But yeah, it's like, I'm traditional when it comes to Christmas dinner.
01:21I'm not a big dessert person, but I'll eat it because
01:24My parents used to, my grandparents used to hide the sixpences in the Christmas pudding.
01:29Because they knew the kids would be excited if they got sixpence.
01:32Would you like to see those kind of traditions?
01:34Yes, of course, of course.
01:36It's no longer about religion.
01:39It's to do with marketing and spending loads of money.
01:42And I hate that.
01:44And it's so sad.
01:45I mean, I'm not a religious person, but my brothers used to be in the choir.
01:52And they learned how to play instruments, playing in the choir band and stuff like that.
01:58And we've lost all that, that's all gone.
