00:00Games for the club, a century and you're a win and you're unbeaten, it doesn't get much better than that.
00:04Yeah, thank you. It's obviously a long time, quite a bunch of games, but the most important thing is we won today,
00:12so it takes us to 4-0 with a bit of a buffer over the comp, so that's probably the most pleasing thing out of today.
00:19We've got some stuff to work on, but some positive signs, yeah.
00:24Tell me about your innings today. I mean, did you run yourself out or did Mick run you out?
00:29I'll take the blame there. It was probably easy to bat earlier on when there was some speed in the pitch and with the newer ball,
00:36so it was just about making sure we took the most of that and got out of that and then set us up with a platform to be able to do what we did late.
00:43It was a tough chase though, 245 is never easy no matter who you're playing and they've got a pretty good bowling attack.
00:47Yeah, probably when we were 1 for 121, 430, the turning point obviously was when I ran myself out,
00:54so learnings from that for everybody that when you get in, you've got to take it on and really kill the game.
01:00But to their credit, they come back, but we probably should have been in a stronger position earlier.
01:07What's this club mean to you, mate? Just 200 games.
01:10Yeah, it's fantastic playing with all the boys. You turn up Tuesday, Thursday, have plenty of laughs.
01:16At the same time, you grind in and get the work done, but it's always good.
01:22Fantastic. And Heath, you hit the winning runs there. Did you think you had a bit of a sore finger when it happened there?
01:27It wasn't planned, mate. I got a knock on the finger yesterday, so it's one of those things that have been a wicked keeper, mate, unfortunately.
01:34You could have had a few of them over the journey, wouldn't you?
01:35Yeah, I probably should have caught it instead of letting it hit me.
01:37Yeah, that's always a good lesson.
01:38Good learning already.
01:39Yeah, there you go. Are you concerned that might keep you out? Is it broken? Have you had it scanned yet?
01:43I haven't had it scanned, mate, so who knows? But the most important thing is we've got the victory today and whatever happens tomorrow, it takes care of itself.
01:51Yeah, exactly.
01:52Mate, first and foremost was doing whatever we needed today and to the boys' credit, obviously Cole batted really well and Lee at the top was great this evening, getting some runs as well.
01:59So, obviously sliding down the order myself, gave us an opportunity to have a look at a couple of other blokes as well who might not have necessarily put the score on the board in terms of making runs,
02:10but held up valuably during that middle period when they could have really gained the ascendancy.
02:16Well, talk to me about this bloke here. It's 200 games for the club, two-time league best and fairest, scores runs just for fun of it. What's he mean to the club?
02:24Oh, it's terrific having a player like Cole Zilk at the top of the order. From a captain's perspective, if we were playing against him, it would probably cause some sleepless nights going on.
02:33Once he gets in, where are we going to bowl to him? How are we going to get him out? So, having a player of that quality at the top of the order obviously makes our job a hell of a lot easier.
02:41But no, he's been a tremendous servant of the club and played some tremendous cricket along the way and a really good fella all around the club and well-liked, which is terrific.
02:50And Cole, just quickly, four games this year. You've had two 50s a century and you weren't out when you got 27 against Knapps as well.
02:58Yeah, I didn't bowl.
03:00Your own form, you must be thrilled with the way you're hitting it.
03:03Yeah, it's important when you get yourself in to go in and cash in because sometimes it can go against you just as easy if it goes with you.
03:11So, it's more about doing those things when you get yourself in and doing the work for Tuesday and Thursday to make sure that you're prepared to be able to go out there and execute on a Saturday.
