00:00More than 3,000 cases of HIV have been reported in our country.

00:05Let's find out the details in the story of Bien Manalo.

00:12As part of the upcoming celebration of World AIDS Day,

00:16some groups and organizations have joined forces

00:19as well as the Office of the First Lady for Love Gay Night 2024.

00:24The theme of this year's celebration is Eternal Elegance, A Night of a Timeless Love.

00:29Gay Night is an opportunity for advocacy groups to strengthen the campaign against HIV and AIDS.

00:36Make sure that people know about the programs we are doing

00:41and that people will go to our services.

00:46Ms. Pia Wertz-Baca, a well-known HIV-AIDS Awareness Advocate, came to Gay Night.

00:53Ms. Pia will auction her museum memorabilia

00:56where all the funds will go to the Youth Center in Taguiga.

01:02This is part of her unparalleled support for the programs

01:06to fight against deadly diseases.

01:09We're looking forward to the goals and the innovations

01:15and the progress that's going to happen.

01:18According to the latest report from the Department of Health,

01:21there are more than 40,000 HIV cases in the Philippines

01:25and more than 400 individuals have been diagnosed with HIV.

01:29There are more than 10 cases of HIV each day this year

01:34compared to the previous year.

01:37The government is in charge because more and more young people are infected.

01:42The Philippines is one of the countries in the Asia-Pacific region

01:46that has the fastest rate of HIV cases.

01:49Because of this, the DOH will focus more on information dissemination

01:54and enhanced treatment protocols against HIV-AIDS.

01:58HIV testing will also be expanded throughout the Philippines.

02:02Love Yourself PH will promote the U equals U campaign

02:07or Undetectable Equals Untransmittable campaign.

02:11We need to create things that work for them.

02:13That's why our U.S. campaign is called

02:18Here are some reminders to avoid HIV-AIDS.

02:21First, use protection.

02:24Be honest with your partner.

02:26Third, consult or get tested according to your HIV status.

02:32And lastly, follow the advice of your health care provider.
