00:00In the middle of the country's celebration of the 11th anniversary of the defeat of the super typhoon Yolanda,
00:07House Speaker Martin Romualdez called on everyone to be vigilant and prepare for the climate change, especially its effects.
00:15When Yolanda cut off the country on November 8, 2013, and the Takloban City was the first to be occupied,
00:24the district was covered by Romualdez.
00:26According to the House Speaker, this tragedy should not be repeated,
00:30so the mechanisms should be strengthened regarding the disaster response and resilience of the country.
00:37As citizens, Romualdez acknowledges their obligation to improve the government's actions regarding climate change,
00:47so this is also one of their priorities now.
00:49One of the proposals raised by the House as regards to the pandemic is the Libdas Pinoy Centers Act
00:56that will push for the construction of strong and proper evacuation centers in different parts of the country.
01:03The House leader said that it is not enough to just be prepared.
01:07There should be long-term infrastructure that the people can use,
01:12so they are determined to support this.
