Here's your first look at the MSI Claw 8 AI+ from Computex 2024. It upgrades to an 8-inch FHD display and ditches the old Intel Core Ultra 5 in the OG model for Lunar Lake CPUs, plus MSI showed off a special Fallout Edition of the MSI Claw that's perfect for fans of the game.

00:00So a few weeks ago I reviewed the MSI Claw, but we're at MSI's booth here at Computex 2024
00:05checking out two new refreshes already for the MSI Claw. First up, we've got a Fallout-themed
00:12MSI Claw. Almost looks like the Pip-Boy. We've got decals on the left-hand side with our menu
00:18buttons also engraved over here. Here we've got the Fallout theme continuing on, also with the
00:23menu buttons. And then on the back-hand side, this is probably my favorite part. Even though I don't
00:28get to see it, other people get to appreciate this. The rusted color scheme continues on to
00:32the back-hand side, but we've also got our Vault Dweller giving us the thumbs up, also the official
00:37Fallout logo. Super cool. So hardware hasn't actually changed, but we do have a new skin
00:41version for it. Now, as far as we know right now, it's not going to go on sale, but this could be
00:45something that later on down the road they offer up as like giveaways, prizes. Not too much word
00:51on this one, but check this out. Over here, we have a brand new MSI Claw with the Lunar Lake
00:57processor. So we don't know a lot of information about this, aside from the fact that it's going
01:01to be better, probably a little bit more efficient. I mean, right now, we can't even touch this.
01:05I want to get my hands on this, but I can't. But immediately, we notice a difference between the
01:09two. So we have the 7-inch display over here. It jumps all the way up to 8 inches. It's still IPS,
01:14120Hz VRR, but a bigger display. One of my biggest or actually smallest complaints, funny enough,
01:22is with the display. I want to enjoy my games, but on something slightly bigger,
01:26while still being portable. And this is looking to be that answer. Like one of the things I like
01:33so much about the Legion Go was the fact that it had that bigger 8.8-inch screen. Honestly,
01:38that was a little bit too big. I think this is kind of bridging the two. It's a little bit bigger
01:43than the 7-inch. It's a little bit smaller than 8.8-inch. So this still manages to be portable,
01:48hopefully. So we don't know the weight on this right now, but this is hopefully going to still
01:52be pretty portable, a little bit more comfortable and ergonomic in the hand compared to the Legion
01:56Go, but offering us that bigger screen. Aside from the display, there are a couple other minor
02:01changes, including the new dual-tone color. The D-pad is a little bit smoother, and we also have
02:08improved joysticks. Last but not least, we also have a much larger battery. Jumping up from the
02:13original CLAW, which was at 53Wh, this is 80Wh. No battery claims have been made right now,
02:19but with a more efficient processor and a larger battery, you can interpret what that might mean.
02:25Of course, we're going to have to get it in-house, test it out, and do our full review,
02:28but until then, let me know, what do you think about these two new CLAWs? Which one would you
02:31get? Are any of these going to be the future of handheld gaming? For more Computex coverage,

02:43Until the next one, catch you later.
