00:00I have already told you that in the south of Bollywood, in their books, in the golden alphabets, it will be written that Harik Parna is Rashid Khan
00:10Wow, Wow, Wow!
00:13So sweet! Thank you so much!
00:16It's the sweetest thing someone has ever said for me
00:18And it is coming from your side, because when a girl compliment a boy, he means everything
00:26So thank you so much
00:28He is more important than you
00:29Yes, he is very important
00:30He is like the hero
00:30Yes, yes thank you so much
00:32He is the one who always takes the credit
00:33Yes, thank you so much it means a lot
00:36We have seen you in a lot of characters, like I told you, I have been watching you since childhood.
00:41From South Indian movies to Bollywood movies.
00:44This is a very different character.
00:46Because it shows the reality.
00:48When you got the script, how long did it take you to decide whether to say yes or no?
00:54See, my first reaction was no.
00:56Because this is a very difficult film.
00:58And you want to go right with it, you don't want to take the wrong path.
01:02So when they showed me the script and the research, I was convinced that I have to play this character.
01:09And as you told me in the beginning that you are relating a lot to this character.
01:13So I was very happy because I want to relate to any character, especially you as a journalist.
01:18Because I am playing the role of a journalist.
01:20An honest journalist who is new and brings big dreams.
01:24I want to be a really big journalist.
01:26I want to work in an English channel.
01:28I want to be a reporter.
01:29I want to know the truth.
01:31I want to know how she deals with power politics.
01:34I want to know that what she sees is not what it is.
01:37I want to know who she considers an idol.
01:39I want to know how she wakes herself up.
01:42I want to find the truth and take it to people.
01:48I am playing the role of an honest journalist.
01:50I have never played this role before.
01:52I am getting more opportunities in Hindi films.
01:55To play relatable characters.
01:57I think I am really growing as an actor.
02:00I want to do this in the future as well.
02:03I want to play more relatable characters.
02:05I am very happy that Sabarmati Report has come.
02:08All the characters have been written very well.
02:10I am just happy and I am lucky.
02:12I want to say something.
02:14What happens in real life is that you are a journalist.
02:17You are a journalist.
02:19You have seen the work of a journalist in depth.
02:22What do you think about the gap between reporters and celebrities?
02:36You are a film journalist.
02:38But I am not a film journalist.
02:40So I could not see much from your angle.
02:43But I go for investigative journalism.
02:46I think it is very difficult.
02:48You risk your life to bring out the truth.
02:51It is a very difficult path that you are taking as a journalist.
02:57So hats off to all the investigative journalists.
03:00Who go in search of the truth.
03:02So I cannot say much about this gap.
03:06Because I don't have an idea about it.
03:08But I really respect journalists today even more.
03:11Even for girls, this happens a lot.
03:15I don't mean to be partial.
03:17But it happens a lot.
03:19Because you are reporting on the ground.
03:21In your movie.
03:23So seeing all that again.
03:25What has been shot, what has been shown.
03:27It becomes very emotional.
03:29How was that when you were shooting?
03:32When we were shooting, there were a lot of scenes where I got emotional.
03:37I think boys are also emotional.
03:40They may not show it, but they are emotional.
03:45And I would like to say the same for Vikrant.
03:47There were some dialogues where he and I both got emotional.
03:52We both cried.
03:54We all have a child inside us.
03:57We are all emotional beings.
04:00So there are a lot of such scenes in the film.
04:02Because it is a sensitive subject.
04:04Because we have shown a lot of things.
04:07If anyone sees it, their heart aches.
04:11So it hurts more when we shoot.
04:14And when people see it, I just hope they also feel the same.
04:17Like we felt when we were shooting.
04:20Or when we watch the film.
04:23We go through all those memories again.
04:25So it wasn't easy.
04:27But this is the job of an actor.
04:29You put yourself there.
04:30You play another character.
04:31You do it convincingly.
04:33And we hope that people see themselves in us.
04:36Especially journalists.
04:38I am from South Bollywood.
04:41The audience is still the same.
04:43But a few years ago, people were very divided.
04:46So you felt that I am going to Bollywood.
04:49So what will the South audience see?
04:52What you like in the South.
04:56The South audience will see me in the North.
04:58Now everything is the same.
05:01Especially post-COVID.
05:03Yes, post-COVID.
05:04But then it was divided.
05:06You have been working in Bollywood for many years.
05:08Did you feel nervous then?
05:10Or were you afraid that the audience will be divided?
05:12That my fans will be divided?
05:14I think I transitioned at a very good time.
05:18In the Hindi film industry.
05:20Because by the time I transitioned, they had become one.
05:24So I didn't have in my mind that my South audience will be left.
05:27Because my South audience still watches my films.
05:30Even if it is in Hindi.
05:31Because there is no language barrier.
05:33Now you can watch films in every language.
05:35So I am a lucky actor.
05:38Who transitioned at the right time.
05:40Where I am not afraid.
05:41In fact, my audience is big.
