00:00Take us through what is going through your mind when you are moving left, right, forward, up.
00:05That's a long time before you throw a football in the red zone.
00:09Yeah, I think I missed Hunter probably in the first second or two in the back end zone on the end line.
00:14So probably could have had that play over a lot faster.
00:17That wouldn't have been cool though.
00:19But yeah, they dropped cover two down there and they dropped the popper out too.
00:22So they really dropped eight and rushed three.
00:25So just trying to find a way to keep the play alive.
00:27You know, once I missed Hunter in the back and then Hunter ended up stepping out of bounds.
00:30So it was good for him.
00:31You know, he had the point waved to me not to throw to anyone at one point.
00:36So just trying to stay alive.
00:37I think Monterey did a nice job of playing that receiver.
00:39And credit to those guys up front for continuing to fight through the play.
00:43And those guys and the receivers and running backs just trying to find a way to make a play.
00:47The longer it goes, are you reaching oh crap status?
00:50Or do you feel like, well, they're going to let somebody open up sooner or later?
00:53Yeah, I think it's more of a, hey, somebody's going to pop open here soon.
00:55You know, I think you just got to fade some defenders sometimes.
00:58And Monterey made a nice play.
00:59Yeah, that was a tremendous play.
01:02I mean, it's really going to be one of those ones that people talk about all year.
01:04I know it was a play that happened in a loss.
01:07But in terms of your, you know, three starts that you made so far,
01:10does that one kind of stand out?
01:11Is that, I mean, that was a big moment.
01:13Zeros on the clock like that, that had to feel good.
01:15Yeah, I mean, I think, you know, sitting at the overtime and, you know,
01:18getting those guys down there for, you know, a big drive to extend the game was huge.
01:22But obviously at the end of the day, we didn't win the football game.
01:24And that's the disappointing factor.
01:26Did you want to go for two there?
01:27Were you ready to go for two there?
01:29I was just trying to catch my breath.
01:30I think it was tough.
01:31So much emotion and, you know, so much energy that we brought on that long drive.
01:35You know, I think we only started at the 50.
01:37It was like 11 or 12 plays.
01:39So I was just, you know, so tired and exhausted.
01:41I think I ran off to the sideline right after that.
01:44So I think it's, in hindsight, it's easy to look back and say, you know, after a loss.
01:48But I think we made the right decision.
01:50Was there debate?
01:51Was there guys on the sideline saying, come on, let's go for two, let's do it,
01:53and Mayo shut it down, or what?
01:54I don't remember anything like that.
01:56I think in that scenario, I think we played for overtime.
02:00Our defense would be on the sideline, you know.
02:02So, you know, whatever the coaches decide, I think, looking back, I think I would do the same thing.
02:07So I think it's a hindsight either way you look at it.
02:10If we go for it and we don't win, then everybody's like, what are we doing?
02:12So I think I was so exhausted just getting to the sideline, trying to catch my breath.
