प्रधानमंत्री जन औषधि केंद्रों से न केवल जनता को सस्ती दरों पर दवाएं मिल रही हैं, बल्कि हजारों लोगों को रोजगार और आत्मनिर्भरता का मार्ग भी दिखाया है। बिहार शरीफ सदर अस्पताल स्थित जन औषधि केंद्र में कार्यरत फार्मासिस्ट असिस्टेंट कुमारी मीना सिन्हा ने बताया , "लोगों को इतनी सस्ती दरों पर दवाएं उपलब्ध कराना सराहनीय है। ग्रामीण और गरीब जनता बेहद खुश है और पीएम मोदी का आभार व्यक्त कर रहे हैं। उनकी आय का 90% हिस्सा दवाओं पर खर्च हो जाता था। लेकिन अब 50 से 90% तक की छूट मिलने से उनके बच्चे पढ़ाई कर पा रहे हैं और परिवार की आर्थिक स्थिति में सुधार आया है। उन्होंने बताया कि हम तीन लोग यहाँ काम करते हैं – एक फार्मासिस्ट और दो असिस्टेंट। कभी नहीं सोचा था कि हम घर की गृहिणी से निकलकर यहां तक पहुंच पाएंगी। आत्मनिर्भर बनने का अहसास हो रहा है, और लोगों की सेवा कर पाना हमारे लिए संतोष की बात है।" वहीं, जन औषधि केंद्र पर दवा खरीदने पहुंचे अमन कुमार ने कहा, "यहां बहुत अच्छी और सस्ती दवाएं मिलती हैं। यह प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की बेहतरीन योजना है। हम लोगों को जागरूक करेंगे कि वे यहां से दवाएं खरीदें, ताकि उन्हें भारी छूट का लाभ मिले। इस तरह की योजना के बारे में हमने कभी नहीं सोचा था...।"
