Express & Star senior reporter James Vukmirovic reports from Leabrook Road in Wednesbury as the clean up and repairs were still going on following a burst water pipe on Saturday which left the area covered in flood water and a large number of homes without water.

00:00Hello, I'm Joseph Mirovic. I'm down here at Leabrook Road North in Wensbury, where
00:05two days ago there was a massive flood after a water pipe burst. It's caused
00:09quite a lot of damage around the area. Behind me is Leabrook Methodist Church
00:12which has borne the brunt of it. I've been inside, I've had a chat to the
00:17Treasurer Malcolm Freeman. He's shown me the damage of the carpet, about how
00:21apparently it got up to around the top of the steps and has left substantial amounts of
00:24damage within the church. They are going to be talking to their insurers about
00:28that. Additionally, the area behind me is still being worked on with the
00:33different crews there and members of Westminster Fire Service and South Sussex Water
00:36working to repair the damage and then look to see what happens. I've been told
00:41by speaking to neighbours that this is about the second time in six years this
00:44has happened. It's been as damaging as it's been. The general feeling around here is
00:48that it's disappointing that this happened. The neighbourhood have worked together and
00:52they're all very much in praise of the Fire Service. So it's been a damaging
00:56weekend around here in West Winsbury but they are working to get things fixed.
