00:00On the last day of the long weekend, let's find out if our countrymen will start coming back to the province.
00:08Live from PITX, Vel Costudio. Vel?
00:17Claycella, since it's the last day of the long weekend,
00:20there are a lot of passengers here in Paranaque, Integrated Terminal Exchange.
00:24That's why the Philippine Coast Guard, PNP, PCG, and K-9 units are spread out for additional safety.
00:35Based on the statistics, since October 28 yesterday,
00:38the highest number of food traffic was reported on October 31,
00:42which reached more than 114,000.
00:46This is higher than 20,000 compared to the expected food traffic released two weeks prior to departure.
00:53This was followed by almost 170,000 food traffic on October 30.
00:58For the expected increase in PITX for today and tomorrow,
01:03food traffic is expected to reach 130,000 to 140,000 at the end of the day.
01:10As of now, food traffic is expected to reach more than 60,500 as of 12 p.m.
01:17Food traffic is expected to reach more than 160,000 to 170,000 tomorrow.
01:24According to the PITX, tomorrow is the expected peak for passengers.
01:29Despite the large number of passengers, there is nothing to worry about
01:33because the special permit for additional travel units is until November 10.
01:39On the other hand, despite the lack of notice from passenger terminals
01:44regarding the prohibition of additional travel units,
01:47there are still a number of suspicious items, such as knives and lighters,
01:51that were confiscated from the PITX.
01:53Fifty-six lighters and seventeen butane were confiscated from passengers
01:58from November 1 to November 2.
02:01Some passengers were also confiscated knives, scissors, tacks, and phosphorus,
02:06which amounted to almost a hundred confiscated items on the same day.
02:13For passengers who will travel,
02:15good news because it is expected that it will be sunny until the weather clears up
02:19in the next few hours in Metro Manila.
02:22No cancelled trips are also expected here in the PITX.
02:25Back to you, Clayzel.
02:28Thank you very much, Val Custudio.
