00:00This is the book of 75 years of Jubilee Intangible.
00:10Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.
00:13Alhamdulillah Rabbil Alamin.
00:15Nahmadunussalli ala Rasulil Kareem wa ala alihi wa sahbihi ajma'in.
00:19In all of the plans,
00:21growth,
00:24investment,
00:26poverty study,
00:29and assistance from the government,
00:32all require numbers and data.
00:37This means that the future of the people and the country depends on the level of our intelligence,
00:46our integrity,
00:48to produce data and reliable numbers.
00:53And one thing that cannot be denied in this country,
00:56even though there are many institutions and agencies,
01:00but DOSM has put an achievement and value and integrity
01:07that is respected by all the people of our country.
01:11And this helps us.
01:14Because when these numbers are believed,
01:17it can help the country
01:22to grow, to develop the economy,
01:25and more just distribution.
01:27And of course, I am waiting for changes to happen,
01:31including new steps that have just been introduced
01:37to go down to the state and regional levels.
01:41Numbers such as those made through PADU
01:45will help us so that there is no stagnation,
01:48stagnation in the dissemination of assistance to our people.
01:53As you know,
01:55experts in data and data,
01:57the number of agricultural assistance,
02:01the number of assistance that is called subsidies to the people,
02:04and the number of incentives for the poor people,
02:08that is a lot.
02:10And from recent studies in several courts, including Megatrends, Khazanah,
02:16it turns out, according to the studies of international economic experts,
02:21Malaysia has the lowest tax base,
02:28but the highest subsidies in Asia.
02:32Yes, it is true that the subsidies are high,
02:37but without the help of good numbers and data,
02:42we get a lot of these subsidies that are wasted.
02:48And this stagnation must be handled,
02:50if not, we will continue to increase spending,
02:54but it will not reach the target group.
02:57This is a very critical and strategic role
03:02that must be played by this office.
