00:26The people who earn money from cemeteries look for different kinds of life.

00:31This includes selling food and drinks, flowers, candles, cleaning and painting the graves,

00:38especially when the funeral arrives.

00:41Ms. Dolores Bukoy, who has been selling candles in cemeteries for 15 years,

00:46is very grateful for this kind of life because she feeds her children from what she earns.

00:53When I was young, I had a lot of children.

00:56Is this your business?

00:57Yes, this is my business.

00:59I used to sell cigarettes to buy cigarettes.

01:04Before, I didn't have money.

01:08Most of the residents in the cemeteries of Zamboanga City are caretakers.

01:17They also live here with their loved ones.

01:22Before, I was scared.

01:24But now, it's good that our neighbors are dead.

01:30I don't have to live with traitors and gossip.

01:34The residents or caretakers of the cemeteries don't remember their fear

01:40because what's important to them is to be able to find life and earn money

01:45for their daily food and necessities.

01:49Despite this kind of life, they still choose to do a noble job

01:55because they say that they are more afraid of life than death.
