00:00Meanwhile, the authorities continue to patrol Baguio City, especially the tourist police units to ensure the safety of those visiting the cemeteries and tourists.
00:10Here's the details of Janice Dennis' national news.
00:14Various cemeteries in the Cordillera region are now closed.
00:20In Baguio City Public Cemetery, the largest cemetery in the city, thousands have visited since yesterday.
00:28The 26,000-square-foot, almost 10-hectare cemetery was visited by its five family members.
00:40Every Sunday, we are here since my brother passed away on April 5.
00:45Of course, we miss him, that's why we are here.
00:51Because the weather is getting better, Kuya Nestor also visited the Baguio City Public Cemetery early.
00:58We decided to come early because of the weather.
01:02So, it's okay. There are still a few people.
01:07It's just that it's really cold when it's like this.
01:11At least, the parking is spacious.
01:17Police Regional Office Cordillera Regional Director, Police Brigadier General David Peredo Jr. inspected all the cemeteries in Baguio City and La Trinidad, Benguet.
01:29More than 1,000 police officers were dispatched to 200 cemeteries in the region.
01:35According to the official, they will be on duty until tomorrow because the number of people in the cemeteries is expected to increase.
01:44There is no doubt that there are bad incidents in the cemeteries in Cordillera today.
01:50We have studied our deployment. We have given each of our positions to them.
01:57The deployment is still going on. The police were here since 6 in the morning.
02:03Along with the deployment, other people also visited the City of Pines like Grupo Nerusel.
02:10Even though it rained earlier in the morning, they enjoyed the visit.
02:15We really enjoyed it because we felt the wind and the cold.
02:21The Baguio City Police Office Tourist Police Unit also visited all the cemeteries in the city.
02:28According to the Baguio Tourist Police Unit, the number of tourists visiting the cemeteries today is very low.
02:35It is only up to 1,000 to 2,000.
02:39We advise our tourists who visit our parks to be careful because the weather is bad.
02:45Janice Dennis for Pangbadsan TV in Bagong, Philippines.
