00:02That's right, there are two new Samsung smartwatches
00:05that have just been revealed.
00:06I'm gonna take you through everything you need to know.
00:09Let's start with the Galaxy Watch Ultra.
00:10I think this is definitely the more interesting
00:13of the two watches this year.
00:14And to be clear, Samsung has used Ultra branding before,
00:18most notably for the S series phones.
00:21But priced at $649, it would make a lot of sense
00:25to compare the Galaxy Watch Ultra to the Apple Watch Ultra.
00:28And the similarities don't stop there.
00:30I mean, just look at the design.
00:32We have a squared-off titanium chassis.
00:35We even have an added orange quick button
00:38that can be used to launch workouts, track intervals,
00:41and it also has a safety siren feature
00:43that goes up to 85 decibels.
00:45That's not all.
00:46There's also a night mode for the watch face.
00:49As you can probably gather from the design,
00:51this is meant to be a sporty watch
00:53with features like aerobic heart rate zones,
00:55a functional threshold power test,
00:57dual-band GPS that's great for tracking those runs,
01:00and up to 100 meters water resistance.
01:02To keep up with all your sports and adventures,
01:04the watch has the longest battery life
01:06of any Galaxy Watch ever.
01:08It lasts up to 100 hours, but that's in power-saving mode.
01:12If you're using GPS tracking, that will last 48 hours,
01:15which is actually still very good by GPS watch standards.
01:19Battery life is really important
01:21because this is the type of smartwatch
01:22that you might wanna wear overnight for sleep tracking.
01:26Samsung has earned FDA clearance
01:28for sleep apnea detection.
01:29This actually happened earlier this year,
01:31but it's exciting to see that come to life
01:33on the Galaxy Watch Ultra.
01:34Also worth pointing out that sleep apnea detection
01:36is something that Apple has not figured out yet.
01:39Moving on to the flagship Galaxy Watch 7,
01:42you get a bit more of a familiar look here,
01:44available in two sizes starting at $299.
01:47But the real update that this watch offers,
01:50and it applies to the Galaxy Watch Ultra as well,
01:52is Galaxy AI for Galaxy Watch.
01:56Galaxy AI is coming in the form of a few different features.
01:58First, we have energy score,
02:00which is kind of like a readiness score,
02:02factoring in things like your activity, sleep, heart rate,
02:05to tell you how your body's feeling.
02:06Next, there are wellness tips,
02:08which are individualized insights
02:10on everything from activity to nutrition.
02:12And the key part is that they're curated to you
02:14at times that are relevant
02:16to what's going on with your body.
02:17We also see an enhanced sleep AI algorithm.
02:20Samsung has been really big on sleep coaching
02:23and sleep insights for a while now.
02:25Sleep coaching is a great feature they have,
02:27but this just takes things one step further,
02:29though it is important to note
02:30that you do have to wear your watch to sleep
02:32for several nights in order to use features like this,
02:34as well as sleep apnea that I mentioned earlier.
02:37Otherwise, not too much else is new here.
02:39Storage starts at 32 gigabytes,
02:41which is pretty good for a smartwatch.
02:43And you have the same Samsung version of Wear OS
02:45that gets you a lot of the great Google apps,
02:47but you also have seamless connectivity
02:49with the Galaxy ecosystem of your smartphone and buds.
02:52The thing I'm most interested to see
02:54is if people are gonna be interested
02:55in wearing the Galaxy Watch
02:57in conjunction with the Galaxy Ring,
02:59or if they're gonna go for one or the other.
