Broken Hill is set to be reconnected to the main grid within the next 24 hours after a storm destroyed several transmission towers near the town. Power has been restored to the area in the New South Wales central west after it was cut off for nearly two weeks. New South Wales Minister for Agriculture Tara Moriarty says residents will be notified about any disruptions as the region gets reconnected.
