00:03has already released a statement regarding the treatment of K-pop idols.

00:08In a recent post on Instagram,

00:10SEVENTEEN member SUNGKWAN addressed the challenges experienced by K-pop idols,

00:16even though the South Korean singer did not specify who this message was for.

00:22Other social media users thought that this was an answer to SUNGKWAN's ongoing controversy

00:27with the South Korean multinational entertainment company HYBE.

00:32In the caption, he said,

00:46Following the reveal of the lawmaker from South Korea's National Assembly,

00:50executives of HYBE received a weekly music industry report

00:55containing negative comments about K-pop artists

01:00from their appearance skills to their other personal attributes.

01:05At the end of his statement, he said,

01:14Meanwhile, in his post, he also included a photo of a handwritten letter

01:19from the girl group member N-MIX, Hyewon,

01:23and he expressed his desire here as a singer colleague in the industry.

01:29According to HYBE,

01:30the reports on K-pop groups are part of their monitoring

01:34and does not fit the company's opinion.
