The European Union has raised tariffs on Chinese-made electric vehicles to 45% following its yearlong anti-subsidy probe into China's EV industry. The new tariffs will take effect on Wednesday and are expected to prompt retaliation from China. Beijing imposed its own anti-dumping measures on EU brandy, dairy and pork in early October, just days after the bloc voted on its decision.
