Residents in South Bristol have reacted with anger at plans to expand a temporary school due to long delays to the permanent site. Planning permission has been applied for to expand the temporary Oasis Academy Daventry Road site, on the playing fields of Oasis Academy John Williams in Hengrove, to 540 pupils.

00:29buildings installed on tennis courts, with the existing two-storey temporary structure
00:35retained. This will accommodate Year 7, 8 and 9 students until July 2026.
00:43The permanent site on Daventry Road in Norwest is now planned to not open until at least
00:49September 2026. The 900-place academy announced in 2019 was originally due to open in 2023.
