00:00Hello, it's Martin Dempster, the Scotsman Golf Correspondent here, coming to you from
00:09Club de Golf Alcanada in Mallorca, a venue for this week's Challenge Tour Grand Final
00:17supported by the R&A. It's the third year in a row that the season finale has been held
00:25at this golf course, a really challenging golf course in the north of Mallorca. We've
00:31had some strong winds over the last couple of years. It was overcast when I arrived here
00:37today and the wind's picking up a bit this afternoon. However, I don't think the conditions
00:45are to be quite as challenging as they have been the last couple of years. 20 cards up
00:52for grabs this week. Two players have already secured main tour cards, so they're out the
01:00equation which means the top 22 on this occasion in the Road to Mallorca rankings rather than
01:06the top 20 will be graduates come Sunday night. We've got two Scots in the field for the third
01:14year running. Ayrshireman Ewan Walker has come here just outside the top 20. Natalie
01:22failed on the previous two years, but buoyed by a recent win on the second tour circuit,
01:30he's hoping to make it third time lucky. He's joined on this occasion by Perth man Daniel
01:36Young who has qualified for the Grand Final for the first time. He lost to Bob McIntyre
01:44in the final of the Scottish Amateur Championship in 2015 at Muirfield. Slowly but surely he's
01:51made progress in the paid ranks and he's hoping to make the most of the biggest opportunity of
01:58his career this week. To keep up to date with everything to do with the Challenge Tour Grand
02:04Final and everything else in the world of golf, log on to Scotsman.com or buy the Scotsman.
