00:00Today we're at Farm Nest to have a look at their spooktacular events.
00:04I started off the morning by meeting the very friendly goats who were dressed up in their own
00:09Halloween costumes. Next it was time to go to the witch's house which was full of many spooky
00:16surprises and perfect for kids to get their crafting shoes on. There was also a fantastic
00:22hay pit and go-karting available for children making it a perfect family fun day out. After
00:28all this Halloween fun and games I wanted to go and meet the Highland Cows Iona and Skye while
00:33chatting to the farm's owner Joanna about what's next to expect from Farm Nest and the turnout of
00:40this Halloween event. This weekend we have a magical mystical Halloween weekend where you can
00:45come along pick pumpkins, you can meet her witch, you can see the house that witch lives in and you
00:50can make some potions as well. This is our third year of having something on at Halloween at Farm
00:55Nest. I love doing events. Halloween is one of my favourite times of the year like the leaves are all
01:00changing colour it's like really scenic down here at Farm Nest. Turnout has been absolutely amazing
01:05we've been really busy every day. Well we've had people from all over the Highlands I think the
01:08furthest we've had is people coming specifically from Shetland and Orkney and Lewis we have a lot
01:14of customers from that way as well and then just the rest of the Highlands like Fort William,
01:19Caithness, all over really. There was a pinch me moment where I was just thinking I cannot believe
01:24that these people have come from all over the Highlands and Islands and then they were bumping
01:28into each other on the farm they didn't know that other people were coming and they hadn't seen each
01:32other in years and then there was like this big meetup of people and I thought this is mad that
01:37a few years ago this was a silage field with nothing happening on it and now there are these
01:41people from all over the Highlands and Islands bumping into each other it's yeah it's very
01:46surreal. So next is Farmer Christmas this is our fourth year of Farmer Christmas and every year
01:52I think it becomes like a more well-oiled machine. This year is going to be our best year
01:57yet because we've got Elf Academy so you learn how to become an elf yourself. We have the Elf
02:03Village for younger ones so if you're wanting to see to some of Santa's animals in our Vets Clinic
02:08or in our Elf Shop you can shop for food and we've also got the Gurns Lair so we have that
02:13happening in the Roleplay Village and then you get a tractor and trailer ride out into the fields
02:17have we scout around Farnness, meet Santa Claus as well.
02:20It looks like there's so much yet to come from Farnness and I will definitely be back.
