00:06councillors. The proposal would see the site of Wheatwood Police Station on Otley Road redeveloped.
00:12Wheatwood Developments Ltd sought permission to build on the site which closed as a police station
00:17in 2020. Two existing buildings at the site have been used as a temporary base for TV production
00:23and a nursery and creche. A new building would range between four and six storeys with each
00:28property having roof terraces, solar panels and external balcony or terrace. Addall Neighbourhood
00:34Forum have objected to the scheme and raised concerns about the size and design of the
00:38building, the applicant's contribution to affordable housing and concerns about road
00:42safety on the nearby Lawnswood roundabout. A design statement said the new residential
00:47population will generate new footfall, creating additional activity and spending on local
00:52services. The scheme will be discussed by Leeds City Council's planning panel on Thursday 31st
00:57of October.
