00:00In the future, traveling between Thailand's three major airports will be much easier thanks to the
00:05High-Speed Train Mega Project. Thailand is now aiming to link Suvarnabhumi, Don Mueang,
00:10and Uttapamani International Airport through the High-Speed Rail Mega Project.
00:14The railway will cover five provinces, starting from Bangkok, passing through Samutpakan,
00:19Cha-Cherngsao, Chonburi, and ending in the Eastern Economic Corridor or EEC area in Laiyong,
00:26a total distance of 220 km. This project is expected to generate up to 650 billion baht
00:34for the Thai economy. However, the construction has yet to begin since the project kicked off
00:40in 2019 as part of a contract between the State Railway of Thailand and Asia-11 of the CP Group.
00:47This delay stemmed from attempts to amend the contract details. The latest update shows that
00:53the new government needs to appoint a new EEC chief before the project can move forward.
