00:00Speaking on that a little bit more, Ward finished off today's matchup versus FSU,
00:07208 passing yards. But what he does so well as a leader, or what this team does
00:11so well, them being Miami, is the balanced attack opportunities they have.
00:15Because 200 yards might be low for Ward, but they still found efficiency in their
00:20play versus FSU, 36 to 14. Martinez on the ground, 148 rushing yards for two
00:24touchdowns. Insane! And then they have a bit of a carousel when it comes to their
00:28receiving room in terms of who's going to be their top target of the day. Today
00:31it was Hortonwood, 65, receiving yards through six receptions. So with those
00:35numbers and just seeing the versatility and their ability to attack their
00:39opponent, is that going to make for a case for Ward, per se, even though he's in
00:44the ACC and it's kind of looked at as a weaker situation at the moment?
00:48Yeah, listen, I think it helps if you're coming out of the FCC or the Big Ten. I
00:53mean, traditionally voters are going to look and say you're playing the best
00:57schedule, you're playing in one of the two top conferences. That automatically
01:01helps. But for context, I think voters, the majority of voters, are savvy enough
01:07to realize how long it's been since Miami has been relevant on the national
01:12scene, competing for titles of any kind, whether that's a conference title or a
01:17national championship. And this is the one guy who's been the difference maker.
01:22It's not necessarily Mario Cristobal. It's not Damian Martinez in the back
01:27field or any other transfer portal pickups. Getting Cam Ward has thrust
01:32Miami back to a point where we could say they're a legit top 10 team. That, to
01:37me, more than numbers is going to stand out for voters, especially this season,
01:42guys, because there's there's not an obvious choice. Nobody's running away
01:46with this. And I don't know if we're going to get a November surprise. We've
01:49had that in the past where a guy gets hot at the right time, leads his team to
01:54a title. I don't see that guy right now coming out of nowhere. So the
01:58Gabriels, the Cam Ward's, the GTS, maybe Travis Hunter of Colorado. Those are
02:03the favorites for good reason right now. Yeah. And if anything, this college
02:06theme might be who could be the most consistent because we've seen great
02:09play, but we've seen a lot of inconsistency from a number of names
02:13and teams. Colorado getting right ahead to halftime versus Cincinnati up top
