00:00Aston Villa remain in the Premier League top four, but go away from today's 1-1 draw with AFC Bournemouth.
00:06Incredibly frustrated. Evan Ilson's 96-minute header sealing a late point for the visitors today
00:12after Ross Barkley opened the scoring about 75 minutes into the match.
00:16It looks at that stage it might be going nil-nil and being a frustrating one,
00:19with Villa squandering lots of opportunities, especially in the first half when
00:23Bournemouth's man-to-man approach left lots of space in behind and through the midfield.
00:27John McGinn had a goal disallowed in the first half. The ball was judged to go out of play by VAR
00:32by the assister of the goal, Ollie Watkins. Jacob Ramsey's low cross, not a great cross admittedly,
00:38was I thought rescued by Watkins on the byline and then cut back to McGinn to find the far corner
00:43with a great curled shot, but Watkins in the end penalised for not getting to the ball quick enough.
00:48The replays and the pictures showed the ball look like it might have crossed the line,
00:52but it's one of those where is the sphere of the ball actually over the line fully or is it still on it?
00:58It's definitely contentious and it's causing a lot of debate at the moment, during the game and afterwards as well.
01:04But Villa, they had to go away and try and score in a proper sense and they couldn't do that
01:09until the 75th minute or whenever it was that Ross Barkley got his goal.
01:13I don't think they would have cared, Villa, if they'd gone and won this game 1-0,
01:18but now looking back, in hindsight, drawing 1-1, you've got to take those earlier opportunities and put this game to bed.
01:24It gave Bournemouth the opportunity to push on late and get their goal through Evan Nielsen.
01:28It's a fantastic header, it's a great ball in from Tavernier as well,
01:32and the free-kick shouldn't have been conceded by Ross Barkley, who ironically of course scored the opening goal of this match.
01:37Maybe just a bit poor game management from Villa at the end.
01:40Lots of yellow cards as well given by Chris Kavanagh, the referee.
01:44Two penalty shouts for Bournemouth I should mention as well.
01:47Matty Cash, maybe a little bit of a rash challenge in the box.
01:50Did just about get the ball away from Semenyo though, who was given a yellow card for simulation.
01:55And then Leon Bailey survived a handball shout, the ball coming down from quite high up in the sky
02:00and touching his arm, brushing his arm on the way down.
02:03But the Premier League's statement said that his arm was in a natural enough position to stop him from giving away that penalty.
02:10Villa understandably really frustrated by the nature of the late goal and from a set-piece as well,
02:16they should be dealing with it.
02:17And Evan Nielsen was rather unmarked by what looked like Matty Cash, potentially Ezra Conta,
02:22and lots to go away with and think about for Unai Emery.
02:26But as it is, they're still in the top four of the Premier League.
02:29They've only lost one game so far this season against Arsenal here at Villa Park.
02:33And the unbeaten stretch is now I believe a dozen games in all competitions.
02:37So still loads of positives, but it does feel like a bit of a sore one having led and conceded so late.
