00:04performed on Broadway, and penned a best-selling memoir.

00:08But Pamela Anderson is just getting started.

00:10She tells Us Weekly,

00:12This is the beginning of my career. I have a lot to do yet.

00:15She landed her first big-screen leading role in 1993's Snapdragon,

00:20and went on to star in the critically panned thriller Barbed Wire,

00:24before nabbing smaller parts in films like Scary Movie 3 and 2017's Baywatch reboot.

00:29But with her upcoming role in Gia Coppola's drama The Last Showgirl,

00:34earning her major Oscar buzz,

00:36Anderson is in the process of reinventing herself as a serious actress.

00:41She tells Us,

00:42I wish I would have started my career a little bit sooner,

00:45gotten some movie roles sooner, but it was worth the wait.

00:48It's my dream role, and this is my next chapter.

00:51Now, she has said of being underestimated in Hollywood over the years,

00:55I think that you got to believe in yourself for others to believe in you.
