The Indian Myna (Acridotheres tristis), also known as the Common Myna, is a member of the starling family native to South Asia. This bird is recognized for its adaptability, intelligence, and striking appearance, with dark brown body feathers, a black head, yellow eye patches, and bright yellow legs and beak.

Indian Mynas are highly vocal birds, often heard making loud and varied calls. They are opportunistic feeders, eating insects, fruits, and even human scraps. Due to their ability to thrive in urban environments, they've expanded their range, becoming invasive in many parts of the world, including Australia and the Pacific Islands. While admired for their intelligence, they are often considered pests due to their aggressive behavior towards native birds and their tendency to nest in buildings and urban structures.

These birds are also notable for their role in agriculture, where they help control pest populations but can also damage crops when their numbers grow too large. Their social and vocal nature makes them fascinating creatures to observe.
