Students from Bendemeer Public School spent time with the University of NSW's leading platypus expert Dr Gilad Bino along the Macdonald River learning about one of our most elusive native animals. Video by Peter Hardin, October 22, 2024.

00:25Those trees, look at over there, look how like nice, high, stable banks you've got over there as well, right?
00:32So when you're looking at the river, it's quite easy to understand what platypuses need and what's like a great habitat.
00:41So like in there, over there, those are really important areas to protect when we're thinking about protecting our platypuses and our waterways.
