00:00Let's check out the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6.
00:10Good day, you beautiful people. Welcome to Celeste Tech, where we do tech in your life,
00:14in style. This just came in, so I'm so excited to test it out. In this video,
00:18we're checking out Samsung's newest smartwatch. We're setting this up, we're seeing what it can
00:22do, and even putting it side by side with its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5.
00:27Let's get to it.
00:57Let's power it on and finally connect it. Now, real quickly, let me take you around this watch.
01:11So, on this side, you have two buttons. On the back, your sensors, you also see that it does say
01:18this is the 40mm watch face, sapphire crystal, GPS 580m. Now, this button on the back here,
01:25that's pretty new with a watch 6, you don't see that with a 5. These are actually quick release
01:31buttons, which for people like me with longer nails, that's so easy. Doesn't seem like a big
01:36deal, but for people like me who'd love to switch out bands and who'd love to switch them out by
01:41herself with her long nails, that helps a lot. You also see on the back here, it does say small
01:47or medium. This, folks, is what a small-medium wrist looks like and it also says up top here,
01:5220mm. So, let's finally get to the setup part. Galaxy wearable app on your phone.
02:07Now that we've connected the phone, let's try the watch on for the first time.
02:12Say hello to my watch time. So, again, I have teeny tiny wrists, so I always am very particular
02:19about the watches that I test out because sometimes even if the watch face fits, like,
02:26I feel like the strap can be weird. So, this is what the watch looks like on my tiny wrist.
02:32It's not as tight and I'm on the last hole. I can put a finger inside the strap, but I also feel
02:41like this will work because it does sit flush on my wrist already. I also like how it looks with
02:48my jewelry. I think that even if this gold case doesn't look as gold as I would like or as I would
02:57pick out, it still works because it's really not as white as the silver case. But, yeah, this is
03:04how the Samsung Watch 6 will look on teeny wrists. That being said, I now sort of want the fabric
03:11band. I feel like it's gonna work for the style and feel I want. So, this watch that I got is the
03:17Bluetooth Wi-Fi GPS version. I got the smallest 40 millimeter case because tiny wrists. And this is
03:23the gold case with a cream sport band because, of course, I wanted it to go with my jewelry. I love
03:29gold. For this specific size watch, you can also get it with a graphite case, which is a fancy way
03:35of saying black. Now, unfortunately, unlike the Galaxy Watch 5 and the Galaxy Watch 4, which I
03:40both got in pink, there is no pink version of this watch with these straps. My other option, really,
03:47was to get this sport lavender white, but it looked a little bit too sporty for me. The other thing
03:52that I was looking at was the fabric sand strap. And as you can see, that looks so nice, but I was
03:57scared I would stain that fabric strap. So, I went with this cream band. I gotta say, I'm happy with
04:03my choices. This thing does look clean and neat and nice. Although now, because of how nice this
04:09white is with the silicone strap, I'm starting to want to get that sand fabric strap. For this Galaxy
04:16Watch 6, it comes in two sizes, this 40 millimeter and a bigger 44 millimeter. The bigger one, though,
04:22comes in silver and graphite versus the gold and graphite it offers for the smaller size. With the
04:26Galaxy Watch 6, Samsung also released the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, which means that we get that
04:32physical rotating bezel again. If you're looking for a bigger watch or a more formal looking watch,
04:38you may want to look at that. Anyway, the Watch 6 Classic comes in a 43 and a 47 millimeter option,
04:45but it only comes in silver and graphite. Now, the thing with these watches, too, is that there are more
04:51straps. When you go on their website, you can actually pick and choose and go for bespoke
04:54watches, so it allows you to choose which watch face you'd want, which strap you'd want. Again,
05:00there are many, many, many choices this year, which is great because we want to have the choice and
05:05again, we are getting that quick release strap, so it's easier to switch these straps around. Of
05:10course, there are trading options on the Samsung website, but I personally got this Galaxy Watch 6
05:16as a bundle that came with my Z Flip 4, and I got a hefty discount. Now, this watch works with
05:21your phone with the Samsung Wear app. As you can see, this is what that looks like. You get your
05:26battery up here, you get tips, you get different watch faces. Hmm, which one do I want? You get AR emoji
05:34faces, you get those Bitmoji faces that I absolutely love. You guys know this from my Galaxy Watch 4 video.
05:48And yeah, there are many choices on here. You get your app screen, which shows you how the apps would
05:55look on your watch. Your tiles, you can also arrange them based on the stuff you need, and you also
06:02have your quick panel here. You have watch settings, find my watch, tips and user manual, and to track
06:10your health, you just download Samsung Health Monitor. Let's finally take a tour on the watch.
06:17Again, no bezels on the Watch 6. That is reserved for the Watch 6 Classic, but you could still like
06:26do this, and the edges of this watch basically work like that rotating bezel. Swipe down, and you get
06:34that quick menu. Swipe up, and you just get all your different apps. And of course, this is Wear OS.
06:42You get the Google Play Store, where you get your watch apps. Now, you can also swipe the right, and
06:49you get your different widgets. Also, that happens when you swipe to the left as well. On the right,
06:56there are two buttons. There is a back button, and that's also a shortcut for Bixby. The bottom one,
07:04it brings you to Samsung Pay. Of course, this watch still looks and feels the same to me from the
07:11previous Galaxy watches. Like I said in my previous Galaxy watch video, I actually like the fact that
07:17we don't have that bezel because like that makes it easier for me to navigate through the watch.
07:22Like there's no edge for my finger to get caught on, but at the same time, the screen
07:27is actually responsive enough for me to be able to navigate through it even with my long nails.
07:35So now that we figured that all out, what's new with the Watch 6? First off, it has less bezel,
07:41meaning there's more display. Here it is side by side with the Galaxy Watch 5, and as you can see,
07:47the difference is very obvious. I love how they added more screen in there without making the
07:52watch any bigger. It's also run on a faster processor and also brighter than the previous
07:58watch. Finally, this thing has a slightly bigger battery and it can do 30 hours always on and 40
08:04hours with gesture. Anyway, here are some more footage of the two watches, the Watch 6 and the
08:11Watch 5 side-by-side.
08:13🎵 Music 🎵
08:22So this thing obviously does health tracking as you can see here. It does steps, active time. You
08:28have total burn calories, distance, and it can automatically detect activities like running or
08:34rowing. Of course, there is a heart rate monitor, but this also means a separate app by the way.
08:40It's making me install it. Now that I have the app installed, you will see your heart rate. So,
08:47this app does measure your heart rate and it gives you your different heart rate zones. Now,
08:53in terms of those heart rate stats, it also allows you to switch out when you measure heart rate.
09:01You can measure continuously, but I opted to do every 10 minutes because it might drain the
09:07battery. You also get high heart rate alert notifications on here. And then, of course, this
09:13watch does a lot of fitness tracking. As you can see, it has like countless activities and this is
09:19GPS enabled, of course. Run, circuit, so many different things. I also believe that this watch
09:26has a new run track mode. There we go. Much of a runner, the only things I run away from are my
09:33problems, but from what I know from training, this can be pretty useful. Wait, this is even—
09:40That was a different one. Where's the run track mode? There you go, run track mode. Oh, and there's
09:47a heart rate zone guide now. And again, this is super useful for those of you who are trying to
09:53start exercising. Personally, I've been watching out for this because I've been trying to train
09:59in zone 2, not saying I've been successful at all, but yeah, this is pretty cool. So, you have
10:05your different fitness stuff, you even have your stress levels, and this watch can also track your
10:11sleep. I haven't slept with a watch, so there's no activity, but this watch specifically touts
10:17better sleep tracking capabilities. There's a new sleep screen on this, there are better sleep
10:23metrics, it will even detect snoring or sleep stages, and give you data on how well or bad
10:30you've been sleeping. All of that info, all thanks to the sensors on this watch. So again, while
10:36sleeping, it can track your blood oxygen, even your skin temperature, because like you guys know, the
10:42Galaxy Watch 6, just like the Galaxy Watch 5, does have a temperature sensor. Now, what else does that
10:48temperature sensor do? Well, for women, it can actually track your menstrual cycle better, if you
10:56still want devices to be tracking your menstrual cycle at this day and age. Now, specific to if you
11:02connect your watch to a Samsung device, you can also get an ECG monitor, and let's try it out.
11:09And then, you can check on your phone, see, the actual ECG report. Of course, it does come with
11:20warnings that this is not medical grade. Also new, and of course you've seen this before, you're also
11:26able to track your skeletal muscle and body fat with this watch. Now, you can get notifications
11:33on your watch from your phone, and as you can see, you can manage that through the app. Again, you
11:39can customize which app notifications you get as well. You can also reply on your watch. There are
11:45preset quick replies, and you can also type on here with a QWERTY keyboard, but it's not the easiest
11:50to type on, especially with long nails. Thank God for predictive text. Now, from these notifications,
11:56you can also see photos that's sent to you, or even notifications from your Instagram account when
12:02someone comments. Thanks, Steph! Of course, this watch has a mic, and you can also take calls on this,
12:08especially if you have the cellular version of this watch. Another fun thing about this watch,
12:13there are gestures, so you can just get to quick actions. So, as you can see, you can answer calls
12:19by doing this gesture. You can dismiss calls and alerts by doing this, and you can quick launch an
12:27app by doing this. Let's turn it on and try it. For example, if I do that, I'm supposed to get
12:32my exercises on my watch. Let's see. Oh, it worked! That's so cool! There are also features on the watch here,
12:42like find my phone. You get your SmartThings app integration. You get apps for your Galaxy buds
12:57and stuff like that. And again, this is a Wear OS watch, so you can download apps on here. For example,
13:03I can have Spotify on my wrist. You can also add Google Keep. I love having Google Keep on my watch
13:11so that I can check it anytime. But my favorite feature of this watch, unfortunately, this is
13:16something you can only do with Samsung phones, you have a remote shutter. Honestly, paired with the
13:22Z Flip 5, that big screen, and this preview, it's so much easier to shoot your own stuff. You can even
13:30shoot videos. Hi! You can even preview your shots. It's honestly so convenient. And that was our first
13:41look at the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6. Let me know what you think. Let me know if this is a watch
13:46you're thinking of getting. Also, let me know what other type of content you would want me to shoot
13:50for this watch. If you want a full review, if you want a day in the life battery test,
13:54comment down below. That's it for today. If you want to see how I use my tech on a daily basis,
