00:00What's up guys, today we will be comparing the LG V60 to the iPhone 14 Pro here.
00:09So LG V60 is one of my favorite older flagships to recommend people as an alternative to buying
00:16a more expensive flagship.
00:18So let's go ahead and get started here.
00:20We'll go ahead and kick it off with a quick little speed test here.
00:24So the LG V60 does have the Snapdragon 865 chipset on here.
00:29We're running Android 12, and we also have micro SD card support, 128 gigs of internal
00:34storage, and 8 gigs of RAM.
00:36The iPhone is running iOS 16, Apple A16 chip, 128 gigs of internal storage, and 6 gigs of
00:43RAM.
00:44And what I always tell people, what you will find with these older flagships is that they
00:47can still be pretty much on par with the newer phones.
00:51So we'll go ahead and launch the phone real quick, we'll launch Subway Surf, and you can
00:58just see how the V60 is able to keep up with the iPhone, it's not going to be like super
01:03far behind.
01:04You can see it actually beats the iPhone there in Subway Surf.
01:09Both these phones are extremely fast, extremely smooth phones here.
01:14As you guys can see here, try YouTube, V60 again.
01:25Now the iPhone, it does have that, let me get a little hiccup here on YouTube, the iPhone
01:29does have that 120Hz display, so it is going to be, or at least feel a little bit smoother
01:36than the V60.
01:3760Hz panel for sure here.
01:42Try Instagram, iPhone got in there really quickly.
01:50Again so you guys can see just how fast both these phones are.
01:53Let's go ahead and do a heavier game, PUBG.
01:58Now the gaming experience on both these phones is going to be pretty good guys, so you will
02:03be able to play at high settings on both of these devices.
02:07Obviously the iPhone is going to beat the V60 when it comes to benchmarks and stuff
02:10like that, but in general for your average gamer, you probably won't be able to tell
02:17too much of a difference if you're just playing PUBG, Call of Duty Mobile, stuff like that.
02:22They both play at essentially the same settings as of right now, HDR Extreme, and if we can
02:30get to a game, let's go ahead and boot into, so you guys can see just how well it is actually
02:43keeping up here.
02:47Boom, very smooth, 60 frames on the iPhone, not going to have any problem gaming, and
02:59it's going to be the same for the V60, super smooth, 60 frames on here, HDR Extreme on
03:09both of these guys.
03:10Now let's talk about the build quality on both of these devices.
03:14They are both glass and metal phones here, and also the price, V60 coming in at around
03:21250 bucks, which is absolutely crazy for an older flagship phone, iPhone coming in at
03:26a thousand dollars.
03:27Like I said, they're both glass and metal devices, both look really great, give you
03:32that premium feel.
03:34You will notice a difference with hardware is that you will find a headphone jack on
03:40the V60 with a quad DAC, so it's not just a regular headphone jack, it does have a quad
03:44DAC on it, and you're going to get some very high quality audio on this phone if you want
03:51to plug in your wired headphones.
03:53So that's always a nice bonus, and obviously the V60 is a little bit bigger.
03:58If you do want something on the size of the V60, you would go for the Pro Max version
04:06of this phone.
04:07Now let's go ahead and talk about these displays here.
04:10So the V60 does have a P-OLED HDR10 plus display, it is 6.8 inches, 1080p, 395 for the PPI.
04:19The iPhone does have the LTPO XDR Retina OLED display, it's 120 hertz HDR10, and then it
04:25gets actually up to 2000 nits brightness, which is pretty impressive, especially in
04:29direct sunlight as well.
04:31It's one of the brightest phones you can get actually on the market right now, and it is
04:35a 1179 by 2556, 460 for the PPI.
04:40One thing I do like is that the V60 does have a smaller water drop notch than the iPhone.
04:46The iPhone houses the Face ID, you know, in its peel, little cut out.
04:50Like I said, I don't mind the both of them on here, you know, I think they look great.
04:56The iPhone has slimmer bezels than the V60 as well too, which is something that I really
05:01like.
05:03The displays on here are both really great, but like I said, I really do like having the
05:07120 hertz, that could be something that you also might really like as well.
05:11Alright, so for curious minds, if you guys want to see the Geekbench scores, here they
05:16are.
05:17This was ran on Android 12 as well, so that will give you an idea on where, you know,
05:22your benchmarks stand.
05:24Let's talk about additional features because this is something that is pretty cool on the
05:28V60.
05:29So, not only do you have SD card support, the headphone jack with the quad deck, you
05:34also have dual screen case capability on this phone as well too, so you can essentially
05:38attach another screen to the V60.
05:41They roughly go for around $100 on eBay if you want to go ahead and get that accessory,
05:46and basically you get a, you know, true multitasking experience, which is really nice.
05:52So that's always something that, you know, I really like.
05:55The fingerprint scanner on the V60 is fine, I wish it had the face unlock, unfortunately
05:59it does not.
06:00It just has the fingerprint scanner.
06:02The iPhone just has the face ID as well, which works flawlessly, it's really fast and just
06:09really accurate all the time.
06:11You can even use it now with the mask, which is really cool.
06:15As far as the speakers, so let's go ahead and check that out.
06:19Alright, we're going to start max volume.
06:46Wow, these actually sound really close.
06:49Yeah, they sound almost identical.
06:56They both hit hard with the bass, they're both very loud and high quality speakers.
07:00So I would go ahead and say it's about a tie, I really wasn't expecting that, but yeah,
07:06they sound almost really, really identical.
07:08Alright guys, let's go ahead and talk about the camera quality, I'll go ahead and show
07:12you guys the side by side stills.
07:14Let's talk about the specs first, 64 megapixel standard on the V60, 13 megapixel ultrawide.
07:21You do have a .3 depth sensor, you can shoot in 8K 30, and then you also have a 10 megapixel
07:27selfie cam that shoots in 4K 30.
07:30With the iPhone, you do have a 48 megapixel standard, 12 megapixel telephoto lens with
07:373x, and then another 12 megapixel ultrawide.
07:40You also have macro mode on here, 4K video at 60 frames, and then a 12 megapixel selfie
07:47cam that can also shoot in 4K 60 as well.
08:41Alright here is the video on the 14, 2x, 3x, .5.
09:05Alright guys, here's the video on the LG V60.
09:10As you can see, 2x, and here's our .5.
09:26Alright guys, so lastly the battery life experience is going to be excellent on both of these
09:31phones.
09:32These are two excellent battery life phones with great standby time as well.
09:36So, the V60 does have a 5,000 milliamp battery on here, and it is wireless charging on here
09:43as well too.
09:44Basically, the V60 can easily get you a day and a half battery life, very easily.
09:49The iPhone is pretty much the same, 3,200 milliamp battery, but with such great optimization
09:55from Apple, this phone can get you easy, you know, a day and a half, very, very easy.
10:02It also has wireless charging with the MagSafe charging as well.
10:07So, just two really great options.
10:09You guys can see how well the V60 stacked up to the iPhone in terms of image quality,
10:15in terms of speed, in terms of overall just the quality experience and the additional
10:20features with the headphone jack and the speakers and all that stuff.
10:23So, I was really impressed.
10:24I'm always impressed with this phone comparing it to the newest flagship.
10:28So, be sure to let me know what you guys think, and I'll catch you guys in the next one.
10:32Bye.
