00:00Hi, I'm Judith Marcham, I'm chairman of the Newbury Ploughing Match which is being held
00:05today at Rookery Farm Courage. We've got a tremendous array of tractors and ploughs,
00:10we've got about 40 ploughmen here today, one set of horses ploughing and all types of tractors
00:17of all ages which is amazing. We're encouraging the young people to have a go, there's a class
00:24which has got six entries of people who've probably never ploughed before having a go
00:29to see if they can do it and we've got very experienced ploughmen as well, you'll see
00:34all levels of ploughing here and it's a really good day.
00:46We're working on ploughing, we send about 20 matches a year, normally in the autumn,
00:52weather permitting. They deliver beer in the summer for Windsor & Eton Brewery in Windsor
00:59and we've been doing some harvesting, hence their harvesting, we've been doing some harvesting
01:04with a binder back in August. We do a lot, we do a lot of variety.

01:20Match. This, believe it or not, was one of the first matches that I ever came to when
01:25I got hooked on this hobby about 10 years ago and then my wife bought me a tractor for
01:30my 50th birthday and here I am competing today.
