Cristiano Ronaldo scored a late winner with a penalty as Al-Nassr won 2-1 against Al-Shabab in a dramatic conclusion.

Al-Nassr had taken the lead in the 69th minute through former Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte.

Al-Nassr's Ali Al-Hassan's own goal in the 90th minute saw Al-Shabab equalize.

There was much more drama to come, however, with Ronaldo proceeding to restore Al-Nassr's lead from the penalty spot.

Mohamed Simakan of Al-Nassr was then sent off for stamping on Nader Al-Sharari inside the penalty area.

Abderrazzaq Hamed-Allah stepped up to take it but failed to find the net, with Al-Nassr securing all three points.

Al-Nassr is currently in second place in the Saudi Pro League, four points behind leaders Al-Hilal.

Ronaldo has scored six goals in seven league appearances this season and provided two assists.

The 39-year-old will hope to inspire Al-Nassr to another victory when they face Esteghlal away in the AFC Champions League on Tuesday.
