00:23Back in 1973, in a village named Manbat, it was difficult for women to venture outside.

00:30Although it was usually risky at night due to wildlife, even during the day, women in

00:36this village did not feel safe.

00:38Over these past 18 months, there have been multiple incidents, but despite efforts, the

00:44authorities have been unable to catch the responsible individuals.

00:49Strangely, these incidents appear to be motivated by bizarre practices.

00:54Whenever a woman goes missing, her body is typically found in the nearby forest a few

01:00days later.

01:02After the 7th incident, the Mumbai police sent a skilled investigator named Ramakant

01:07to this village.

01:09He is known for solving cases quickly, which has made him quite popular among his peers.

01:15In every neighborhood, there are people involved in illicit activities.

01:20In this village, there are a couple, Uttam and his wife Rukmani, who are facing challenges

01:26in starting a family and have resorted to questionable practices.

01:31They also operate an illegal alcohol business.

01:34Although they were once detained by the police, lack of evidence led to their release.

01:40The police have kept a watchful eye on them, distancing them from the village.

01:45While Uttam and Rukmani are away, Rukmani's sister, Ranji, manages their business.

01:52Uttam is wary of Ranji, but Rukmani trusts her completely.

01:56However, the couple struggle with starting a family leads them to engage in dubious activities.

02:03Ramakant began the investigation at the site of the first murder, where an 8-year-old girl

02:09named Gayabai was killed 18 months ago.

02:13Someone had called out to her from the grass, she turned and walked toward the sound, unaware

04:11The public had slipped out of the police's control, while on the other hand, Uttam and

04:27She replaced the soil of the peepal tree, as all the secrets of the murders were connected

04:33to this tree.

04:34On that day, a man named Shankar was chasing the police.

04:39Ramakant assigned his best constable to spy on him.

04:43Ten months ago, a woman named Sugandha Bai, aged 35, was collecting water by the river

04:50when someone shouted her name.

04:53When she turned around, it was the last day of her life, an axe came slicing through the

04:59air and struck her on the head.

05:01Eight months ago, a girl named Nazima, aged 9, was coming home from the jungle.

05:08On her way, someone she knew gave her a ride.

05:12Nazima thought it would make her journey easier, but her life journey ended there.

05:17The police suspected Shankar, who often sought forgiveness for his sins outside the temple.

05:24Whenever he saw a girl, his gaze was oddly intense, as if he wanted to do something to

06:12Six months ago, a woman named Kalavati Bai, aged 30, was gathering firewood for her home.

06:20She was worried about her hearth, while the killers were only concerned about the fifteen

06:25rupees for her life.

06:27A common factor in every murder was that the bodies were found near temples.

06:32The police were entangled in whether the killings were for the sake of money or for black magic.

06:38For months ago, a ten-year-old girl named Halima was on her way home from the forest

06:44when she was suddenly attacked by two men who mutilated her body beyond recognition.

13:50I thought this was an opportunity to mislead them, so I told them that to find the treasure,

13:55a woman's blood would be needed.

13:58Uttam then arranged for a third murder, this time of a woman.

14:09However, the police arrested Uttam and his wife for the murders.

14:14Inside the jail, Rukmani suggested diverting the police's attention by having her sister
