There are plenty of memorable kills in "Terrifier 3" — the blood-soaked franchise's biggest, grossest attack on audiences yet. The movie's naughty and nice Christmas-centered trailers have already hinted to viewers that they have a ho-ho-horrifying time ahead of them, with its brutal old-school slasher vibe. Among all of that greasepaint and gore, the death of true crime-loving podcast host Mia will probably go down in the annals of horror history as one of the bloodiest.

00:00There are plenty of memorable kills in Terrifier 3, the blood-soaked franchise's biggest, grossest
00:05attack on audiences yet.
00:07The movie's naughty and nice Christmas-centered trailers have already hinted to viewers that
00:11they have a ho-ho horrifying time ahead of them, with its brutal, old-school slasher
00:16vibe.
00:17Among all of that grease pains and gore, the death of true-crime-loving podcast host Mia
00:21will probably go down in the annals of horror history as one of the bloodiest.
00:25Obsessed with the Miles County murders, Mia yearns to know more about what Sienna Shore
00:29experienced.
00:30She ends up learning all about terror firsthand, when Art the Clown kills her with a chainsaw
00:34in the shower.
00:36Even worse, it happens during a rendezvous with her boyfriend, Cole, who soon finds himself
00:40tortured by the business end of Art's chainsaw in a very not-safe-for-work location.
00:45That's one tough way to go, but the actress who plays Mia already understands what it
00:49means to be stormed in the face of seemingly hopeless odds.
00:53She's been through a whole lot in her life, but managed to come out on top and would survive
00:57in a way that would leave Art infuriated.
00:59Why does Alexa Blair Robertson look familiar, and what has she been through?
01:03Terrifier 3 has provided Robertson with her meatiest role yet after making a handful of
01:07appearances in a variety of films and TV shows.
01:11Starting out as a child actress, she played a younger version of Sarah Walker on the NBC
01:15action comedy Chuck, was a teenage version of Anna Nicole Smith in the television movie
01:19Anna Nicole, and played an unnamed girl in Diary of a Wimpy Kid, The Long Haul.
01:24More recently, she was Tiffany Murdoch in the Hallmark TV movie One Summer, and played
01:29Noah Walker in the short film The Sexbird.
01:31On top of her acting credits, Robertson dances professionally.
01:34She teaches classes in modern dance in Los Angeles and works as a New York's Knicks city
01:39dancer during their halftime shows, cheering on the basketball team from the sidelines.
01:43With such an active lifestyle, it seems as if Robertson is the healthiest person around,
01:47but that wasn't always the case.
01:49When she was just four years old, Alexa Blair Robertson was diagnosed with Wilms' tumor,
01:53a rare form of kidney cancer that she only had an 11 percent chance of surviving.
01:57Rushed into surgery when a large mass was discovered on an X-ray, she lost so much blood
02:02that her heart stopped.
02:04Surgeons delayed the removal of the tumor until her body was strong enough to bear the
02:07invasive procedure.
02:09Robertson underwent a month of chemotherapy and radiation to shrink her grapefruit-sized
02:13tumor down, then finally had successful surgery to remove it.
02:17Six years of further surgeries and setbacks followed, but all the while, Robertson kept
02:21on dancing.
02:22She told the New York Post, quote,
02:24"...I was up there with purpose and poise."
02:26Adding that video of her performances from this bygone time still make her cry.
02:30With all that in mind, how is Robertson doing today?
02:33As it turns out, Alexa Blair Robertson has been in remission since she was 11, and as
02:37of this video, she's completely healthy.
02:40She went on to major in chemistry and dance at Duke University.
02:43While being selected as one of eight background dancers, she picked to perform with a local
02:47staff on Janet Jackson's 2015 tour.
02:49That led to her becoming a part of the NYX dance team, and has in turn continued to boost
02:54her fledgling acting and dancing career.
02:57Robertson still bears a large scar on her torso from her surgery, and she's not planning
03:00on covering it up.
03:02She told the New York Post,
03:03"...I proudly bear them.
03:05There have been two constants in my life, medicine and dance."
03:09And now that she's broken through with her memorable Terrifier 3 performance, Robertson
03:13will get to show horror fans everywhere how to stare down the horrors of the world with
03:17fearless determination.
