00:55the path to victory for shutting baseball teams down on a night-to-night
00:58basis you're seeing an anomaly right now with the Dodgers and what they're
01:01getting away with and hey just keep riding that hot hand I do think this
01:04probably ends up going six games to be honest even though I don't think the
01:08Mets are as good but four to two is still a very easy victory moving on to
01:12the World Series for the Dodgers we don't have one two games one two three
01:17and four for the Dodgers lined up superstars studs starting pitchers with
01:20a lockdown bullpen you're basically going starter bullpen bullpen starter
01:24bullpen you see where I'm going with this so sooner later the Mets are going
01:27have to wake up the Mets will have home games where their crowd will be able to
01:30get involved them and I has been pretty good here in the postseason over the
01:33past 60 days they should have an honest effort tonight that was just a real
01:36wake-up call yesterday nine to nothing a complete shellacking here there's only
01:40one way to go up for the Mets you gotta score some runs early to give your team
01:44some hope because if that Dodgers bullpen continues to gain that momentum
01:47and tries to run this streak up to 40 plus innings this series might only be

02:55terms of those odds for the series overall just wanted to make that point

03:07division series against San Diego did come through in game number five but plus
03:13165 after a two-for-four night where he scored twice and had an RBI as well yeah

03:22like hey Betts wins the NLCS and Betts wins the MVP in the World Series but
03:26maybe your best player overall is Shohei Ohtani it's an embarrassment of riches
03:30for that roster to basically have the two best players in the National League
03:33batting one and two on your team you're supposed to do damage those two guys in
03:38game number one they did their damage and rightfully so sitting up there by

03:49World Series for the fourth time in the last 12 seasons where LA has reached the
03:54playoffs all 12 years we'll see about the pitching matchup today of course we
04:00will preview game two at the ravine a little bit later on the Dodgers a home
04:05favorite as you might expect but Sean Mania trying to get the Mets to even up

04:15ALCS inside Yankee Stadium next what a Monday in New York for both baseball
04:22teams in a NFL team that plays in New Jersey but with New York on the lid

04:38since 2009 the Yanks will play host in the LCS with home field advantage in the

04:57Yankees of course a hefty favorite to get things done greater than a $2
05:01favorite to win a pennant something that has eluded the pinstripes since 2009
05:08shouldn't elude them too much longer here they are the stronger team over the
05:11Guardians and should win this series but we understand that you have an ace on
05:16that staff here for the New York Yankees that's one Cy Young Awards his name is
05:19Garrett Cole but he can't pitch all seven games if you need it here Ben
05:23you're going to need other performers to step up which includes Carlos Rodon and
05:27a stellar 0-1 record in the playoffs and a 9.82 ERA to try to jump-start you in
05:33game number one here's the issue for the Guardians you got Alex Cabo in the
05:36it's not as if you have a bona fide ace that's going to be able to say we're
05:39actually going to take advantage of this game but there are some ways that you
05:42can beat the Yankees but I just don't think it's gonna come from a Guardians
05:45perspective the same way I didn't think it was going to come from the Kansas City
05:48Royals this should be a clean run for the Yankees to win this pennant and get
05:52to the World Series even though they are the decided favorite minus 205 price to
05:56win the series I do think that price is valid and it is solid and I'm not
06:00looking at the underdog Guardians to take down the Yanks but tonight you
06:04might see a little bit more fireworks than maybe you would see because you
06:07usually don't throw a kitchen sink bullpen game in game number one Rodon has
06:11a tendency to get a hit there's some right-handed batters and that lineup for
06:14the Guardians that could be able to do damage at Yankee Stadium but a series
06:17long nah it's gonna be the Yanks for me minus 162 still a heavy favorite tonight
06:23inside Yankee Stadium for Rodon and the Yanks to win game number one DRS we did
06:29the faith the public poll on Friday asking the public who would win the
06:34decisive winner take all game fives in both the NLDS between San Diego and LA
06:40and between Cleveland and Detroit the Guardians despite being at home in the
06:44land we're a home underdog against Tarek scuba enter Lane Thomas maybe one of the
06:51under-the-radar trade deadline acquisitions being dealt from the
06:55Nationals he was huge in the ALDS for Cleveland to earn this spot in the LCS
07:03the Guardians trying to make history for the central divisions no team from
07:08either the NL or AL central has reached the World Series since 2016 where I'm
07:14pretty sure but let me just double-check here that team in 2016 to get to the
07:20World Series was of course in fact the Guardians as they knocked off or they
07:25lost to the Cubs excuse me in that incredibly historic and significant
07:30game seven so a lot at stake here in this series DRS let's talk big picture
07:37right because with a favorable path and this is that for the Yankees a lot of
07:43pressure is riding on New York and its captain and its superstar in Aaron judge
07:49who was okay in game four in that matchup in the LDS against the Royals
07:56but has not been great here in October and despite all of that he is the
08:00favorite to win the ALCS MVP award at plus 320 but just a half dollar in front
08:06of Juan Soto yeah no it makes some sense here because you're expecting him
08:10hopefully to wake up but he really hasn't had a great postseason run in his
08:13career but maybe this is the series because you're not going up against
08:16elite frontline starting pitching for the Cleveland Guardians and maybe
08:20there's a chance that you can start to do some damage but it does start in game
08:23number one and you're right in that closeout game finally getting a base
08:25knock here all right let's start to see those doubles and those home runs and
08:29those RBI start to come through but it's right a heavy favorite for the New York
08:32Yankees in the series you're gonna look to their best two ball players to be
08:36those MDPs that's Juan Soto and it's Aaron judge and I do agree that he
08:39should be up top because the chances for the two run in a three run home run
08:43probably coming for Aaron judge because why Juan Soto is setting the table by
08:47drawing walks and just getting on base yeah and we'll see exactly how that
08:51plays out the Yankees incredibly disciplined at the dish against the
08:55Royals who offered up a ton of free passes in the American League division
09:00series Jose Ramirez shortest price for anybody playing for the Guardians at
09:05plus 550 third best number to win ALCS MVP really the offensive bright spot
09:11though DRS against Kansas City was Giancarlo Stanton so overall as we go
09:16back to these series numbers unlike what we showed you the updated odds after the
09:21opening game in the NLCS the Guardians are getting a game and a half in the
09:27series spread that would mean seven games for Cleveland if they were going
09:32to lose and those odds or correct or Cleveland just winning the series
09:38outright five and a half games in the series total games market for that over
09:42under has heavy juice on the over at minus 175 that's where it stands
09:49entering the ALCS again at stake for the Guardians a first birth in the World
09:55Series since falling in seven games against the Cubs in the end of the curse
10:01of the Billy Goat for Chicago that was nearly a decade ago it's been a decade
10:06and a half for the New York Yankees since a pennant and a return to the
10:10World Series 2009 the last year the Yankees won a World Series championship
10:15the last time the pinstripes were even in the World Series Donnie anything
10:21short of that regardless of how long it takes in the LCS against Cleveland will
10:26be considered a massive disappointment and all that pressure mounts starting
10:31tonight in the Bronx with Carlos Rodon on the bump if you are a Yankee fan this
10:36is your dream season because two things are going to happen both of them will be
10:40in your favor the Yankees beat the Guardians as anticipated move on to the
10:44World Series you got your wish playing for a championship the Yankees lose the
10:48LCS to the Guardians your general manager is gone your head your manager
10:52is gone in the dugout and massive changes will be made to that lineup
10:56Yankee fans you can't lose even if you do lose in this round here I would love
11:01to be in that scenario as a Philadelphia fan I like your perspective
11:05always DRS that if things are an utter disaster and failure yes it will sting
11:10and it will hurt but maybe that band-aid will be placed on your hearts because
11:15Aaron Boone would be fired and there would be a sweeping change to your
11:21organization I still think the Yankees would prefer an American League pennant
11:26with a victory here in this series starting tonight in the Bronx against
11:31the Guardians again we will preview both game two for the Mets and the
11:34Dodgers game one for the Yankees and the Guardians later what a Monday
11:38doubleheader we have in league championship series action in October in
11:44the Major League Baseball postseason it starts bright and early 1 p.m. Pacific
11:50time out in downtown Los Angeles between the Dodgers and the Mets it is game
11:55number two of the NLCS the Dodgers dominate in game number one nine zip

12:52the money line the total for game two is eight and a half DRS how do you see game
12:58two playing out at the ravine the handicaps are tough as we get into the
13:02playoffs they wouldn't be as tough here if I knew the starting pitcher on both
13:05teams that they anticipate going five to six innings you can handicap off of that
13:09and take your way look at the batters and say I'm gonna get at least three at
13:12bats against this said pitcher unless he really gets roughed up early in the
13:16game but if you're looking at the line itself that plus 120 in the Mets that's
13:19the line I probably dig into Donnie how could you do that the Dodgers have to
13:22give up any runs in three years it feels like at this point and the Mets just got
13:26run out nine to nothing yesterday understandably the Mets had a whirlwind
13:30unbelievable victory just to get into the playoffs beat the Philadelphia
13:33Phillies a lot of celebration out on the West Coast caught a pitcher that
13:37absolutely dominated them in a way you move forward to get think about
13:40baseball where they could beat one to nothing or nine to nothing you're still
13:43down 0-1 doesn't make any difference not down three games because you lost by
13:46nine runs you do have a quality lineup which Lindor, Vientos, Nimmo, and Alonso
13:50as a first one through four very very good here's the issue though Brazier is
13:55listed as the starting pitcher Brazier usually goes one inning maybe gets into
13:59the second inning before they pull you for a better matchup so it's hard for me
14:02to come on and say oh I really like Lindor in this matchup he crushes
14:05right-handed pitching same thing with Vientos, Nimmo, and Alonso all very good
14:09iso power numbers and waited on base percentages over the past month against
14:12right-handed pitching but for my money here do you think that the Mets can win
14:16this ballgame I actually do but do I want to take the plus 120 against that
14:20hot Dodgers team not necessarily so if I'm saying in the way I started it out
14:25the New York Mets have to get on the board early in this game no doubt about
14:30it third inning fourth inning fifth inning they haven't scored yet that's
14:32just gonna be an avalanche that's gonna pile on and they might not even make it
14:36to game number five at that point and might get swept contrarian play Mets
14:40team total over three and a half here at the FanDuel Sports Bowl this is a book I
14:44understand how good the Dodgers bullpen has been it's still a bullpen here it's
14:48not Sandy Koufax on the mound for eight innings and then you know Kenley Jansen
14:52and his prime coming into the ninth inning right you should be able to hit
14:55in nine at-bats against a bullpen here I'm not calling for a Mets victory but
14:59this needs to be their best chance Manai is on the mound he's been solid he's a
15:03left-handed pitcher he's a quirky lefty which control for your lineup here the
15:07Mets absolutely have to win this game but if they do I don't know if it's a
15:10two-to-one effort here I think the Mets have to score early and often to get a
15:15cushion here to quiet that Dodger crowd and we shouldn't have any shadows
15:18creeping into much later in the game which means we might not even see them
15:22by 430 p.m. I expect a good effort out of the Mets give me the team total Mets
15:26over three and a half as a contrarian play today Donnie right side the
15:31conviction in that breakdown hard to not buy stock into it Ryan Brazier was the
15:36opener for LA in game four against San Diego he started great of course the
15:42Dodgers planked the Padres in that matchup but only 19 pitches for Brazier
15:47who actually earned a win in game number one in relief against the Padres in the
15:53LDS Sean Mania has been pretty solid this postseason and really all year for
15:59the New York Mets he has pitched 12 innings he has allowed only three earned
16:03runs he did get the win against the Phillies in game three back in Queens
16:10seven innings of work only a single earned run allowed striking out six
16:14just three base knocks he did pitch in a game in which the Mets did lose to the
16:19Milwaukee Brewers in their opening wildcard round but when he exited the
16:23game after five innings of solid work the Mets did hold the lead we'll get
16:29into this game I promise you with Tom Vecchio it's the Yankees and the
16:33Guardians game one quickly DRS the pinstripes a home favorite Carlos Rodon
16:38gets the start well the Yankees open up the ALCS with a 1-0 series advantage I
16:43do believe they have a good chance at that but again this is if you want to be
16:46in this series Cleveland you got to win game number one instead of taking them
16:49on a side give me Ramirez and Lane Thomas RBI opportunities they hammer
