13 November - National weather forecast
Transcript
00:00Hello, and welcome to your latest update from the Met Office.
00:03The rest of Saturday will be mild, and whilst it will be cloudy in the east and also the
00:08north-west, there will be some sunny spells elsewhere.
00:11So cloudy in the east on Saturday afternoon with some patchy light rain, but elsewhere
00:15most places will be dry with some sunny spells, these mainly across central and southern Scotland,
00:20Wales and western England.
00:22However, Northern Ireland and the far west of Scotland will be rather cloudy later on.
00:27Clouds on the mild side for this time of year, with highs of around 14C.
00:33So Saturday evening will be cloudy across Northern Ireland and westernmost parts of
00:36Scotland, with some outbreaks of rain and drizzle, and with perhaps some drizzle reaching
00:41the far west of Wales and Cornwall later in the night.
00:44Eastern England will also be cloudy, with some patchy drizzle spreading into the east
00:48midlands during the early hours.
00:50Elsewhere though, some clear spells, with temperatures falling low enough for a touch
00:53of grass frost and some dense fog patches, but where it remains cloudy, it will be much
00:58milder, with temperatures holding at around 9 or 10C.
01:03So Remembrance Sunday will start on a rather grey note for many, with any fog lifting only
01:08slowly during the morning.
01:10Low cloud in the east will also lift and break, to allow some sunny spells in the afternoon,
01:15although there will also be a few showers at times.
01:19Northern Ireland will have a rather cloudy but largely dry day, however, western Scotland
01:23will be cloudy and increasingly windy, with spells of rain for much of the day.
01:29Remembrance Sunday will be another mild day for this time of November, with maximum temperatures
01:33generally around 11-14C.
01:38And looking further ahead into the start of next week, we'll see more changeable conditions
01:43in the north and north-west, with occasional rain followed by sunshine and showers, and
01:47some strong winds at times.
01:48There will be a lot of dry weather further south, but it will be often cloudy, with some
01:52dense fog patches likely in places on Monday morning.
01:56That's all from me for now.
