A lorry’s brake failure may have caused it to crash into four cars and two motorcycles at a traffic light intersection in Sri Medan in Batu Pahat, Johor on Oct 13.

00:04Abdullah Sani said police had held a lorry driver
00:07to help with investigation into a road crash on Sunday.
00:17He said a brake failure may have caused the lorry driven by the 46-year-old man
00:22to ram into four cars and two motorcycles
00:25at the Srimedan traffic light at 3.47 p.m.
00:28He said the brakes failed to work when the lorry,
00:31which was travelling from Paritsulong to Johor Bahru,
00:35approached the traffic light.
00:37He said all the drivers, passengers and motorcyclists
00:41involved in the accident escaped unhurt.
00:44Police confirmed that the lorry driver passed the urine tests for drugs.
00:48The lorry has also been seized for inspection
00:51at the Puspakom office in Batu Pahat.
00:54The case is being investigated for reckless driving.
