00:00Hello and welcome to your latest forecast from here at the Met Office and
00:03after what was another hot day for many, we are expecting some cooler conditions
00:07but more unsettled as we head through the next few days. That's all down to
00:11this area of low pressure across the UK and the frontal systems associated with
00:14that will be a focus for some heavy and thundery rain as we move into the new
00:18working week. Overnight tonight we can see some heavy and thundery showers
00:22already across Northern Ireland and Scotland. Those will move southeastwards
00:26into parts of North West England and Wales overnight. Out to where there is
00:30another dry night but very warm and very muggy once again bringing some difficult
00:35sleeping conditions. We already have thunderstorm warnings out for much of
00:38the UK for Monday with the warnings across England and Wales not coming into
00:42force until 10 o'clock in the morning. That's due to this area of thundery rain
00:47gradually making its way eastwards across all parts of the UK on Monday so
00:51bring some locally heavy downpours with some localised flooding possible also
00:55frequent lightning and hail are a possibility. Still very warm down in the
00:59southeast corner where we see temperatures back into the 30s once more
01:02but turning a little bit cooler and a little bit fresher from the northwest.
01:06Through the evening we'll continue to see heavy thundery showers across many
01:10parts of the UK and those will persist overnight and as we head through into
01:15Tuesday as well. With a lot of warnings in force over the next few days it's
01:19worth keeping up to date with the forecast for where you are so follow us
01:22on our social media and I'll speak to you again soon.
