00:00Hello there, my name is Greg Dewhurst and welcome to your latest broadcast from the
00:05Met Office. We're looking at generally settled conditions to end the weekend. However, low
00:11pressure returns at the beginning of the week, bringing outbreaks of heavy rain. This slowly
00:16pushes its way southwards with then high pressure building back in as we move towards Tuesday
00:21and into Wednesday, bringing plenty of dry weather and sunny spells, but fresher conditions
00:27also. So back to the rest of Saturday evening and overnight into Sunday morning. Plenty
00:33of dry weather around, prolonged clear spells developing overnight, just the risk of one
00:38or two isolated light showers across the east. Under the clear skies, we could see some mist
00:42and fog patches developing, but temperatures generally in towns and cities holding up in
00:46double figures. In the countryside, particularly across the north of the UK, we could see lows
00:51into single figures. Any mist and fog patches quickly clearing on a Sunday morning, giving
00:57plenty of sunshine first thing. However, cloud and outbreaks of rain will spread across Northern
01:02Ireland and then into the afternoon across western parts of Scotland, Wales and the West
01:07Country. The rain becoming particularly heavy across Northern Ireland here as well. Elsewhere,
01:12generally dry, sunny spells and just isolated showers. In the best of the sunshine, temperatures
01:17reaching the mid-twenties, around 24 Celsius across southeast England. Elsewhere, generally
01:23the low twenties. The outbreaks of rain will continue to push its way eastwards across
01:27the north of the UK through Sunday evening, driest weather holding on across central parts
01:31of England and southeast England into the latter part of Sunday. This rain will continue
01:37to push east and south as we head through into Monday. Sunshine and showers following
01:42across Northern Ireland and Scotland, the south and southeast of the UK, still holding
01:47on to some warm and sunny weather. Threshold for everyone into Tuesday as that rain clears
01:52away to the southeast, but we will see the return of sunshine, particularly across the
01:57north and the west. Temperatures generally in the high teens to low twenties.
