00:00This is the main card. Enjoy the hostilities my friends. Why do I have balloons and a coat?
00:09Thankfully he didn't fly away. Thank you Robin. Busty, do you think Robin Black knew when he
00:14was a child that in 40 or 50 years time something like Karate Kombat would come along
00:18and it would just suit him so perfectly? I think he fell a lot of times on his head
00:24and he's the perfect man for the job. Guys welcome back to Karate Kombat 50. We're live
00:28at Permissiveness 3 in Salt Lake City, Utah. We've had a fantastic night of fights so far.
00:33Myself, Josh Palmer, Baz Roon, Big Mike somewhere in the building, not in the booth with us right
00:38now, bringing you the action here from the pit. Let's go ahead take a look at what is coming up
00:43now on our main card for KC-50. Fantastic women's bout is going to open our main card this evening.
00:52Aline Pereira, Dee Begley we'll talk a bit more about that in a minute. Absolute fan favorite
00:56Brandon Jenkins returns against tough debutant Joe Gianetti. Ale Bulatov from Russia. This dude
01:02is a monster, flying under the radar a little bit. He's got the very vocal Brazilian Marcos Perez
01:07up in fight number nine. Co-main event this evening Arturo Vergara and Safar Akhmedov.
01:12Absolutely no one is taking a step back in that one. That will be knockout for nothing.
01:16Then our main event this evening, Omar Morales taking on Alejandro Brugal. Someone else gonna go.
01:24Oh yeah, what a fun bout that is at the top of the card. Guys we've had a great night so far
01:29and we've got a lot more to look forward to. Unbelievable the opening of this fight. I want
01:33to see Pereira here we have against Begley. What's going to happen? Let's take a look.
01:39When he was here the day of his fight, he's here with you making sure you have good training.
01:44What does it mean to have your brother so involved in your camp?
01:55Karate combat is a very new sport, very different than K-1 or Glory. What's your impression right
02:04now of karate combat? What does she feel about the sport?
02:18She has a lot of experience in fighting. What does she want to show her fans in this fight?
02:24I know a lot of people are inspired by me and I want to show people that they can do it too.
02:31A lot of people send me messages saying, Aline, I'm inspired by you. And that strengthens me,
02:35you know? That strengthens me and I want to show them, you know, my fans and give them this gift.
02:46Well, this brings us to the first bout on our main card. D-Begley and Aline Pereira. Bass,
02:52we'll start with the lady that everybody is here to see, Aline Pereira. We'll obviously talk about
02:58who her brother is extensively throughout this fight. But her in her own right, she's an absolute
03:03monster of a striker. She is. And she's very technical, very powerful, like she loves the
03:08left hook also, like her brother does. She believes her opponent will pressure the fight.
03:12She wants to stay close to, of course, the reach advantage, which I believe is truly going to
03:16happen. She will feel out and then hopefully start fighting a little bit harder and harder and
03:21finally resulting into a knockout, like I said, with the left hook. She's also been training here
03:26in Utah for a month now with her brother at altitude, preparing for this fight. And the
03:31big story, as we saw in that package before we started speaking here, is she wants to make a
03:36name for herself. She doesn't want to be in her big brother's shadows anymore. And that's what
03:40she's here to do tonight. And she trains also with Lacey Capers. She's a girl from Holland.
03:43She's a really great striker as well. So that's a good choice of having her as a sparring partner.
03:48Yeah, and she's gonna have a huge reach advantage coming into this one as well. She's taking on
03:52Dee Begley, who's made her way over from Ireland. Very, very tough, with a lot of MMA experience.
03:58But Mike, she did something you absolutely hate, and she mis-weighted.
04:03Yeah.
04:04What's it? It wasn't crack, right?
04:09She mis-weighted by four pounds.
04:10Oh, yes, that's right. She did mis-weight by four pounds. And they agreed to fight at this,
04:15at the new weight, correct? She also stood on a box yesterday at the face-offs because she is
04:20that much shorter than her opponent today. So she's gonna have to get creative. And she's a
04:24creative fighter. Fights out of Conor McGregor's gym in Ireland. And she's, you know, spinning
04:29back fists. And, you know, she's gonna be moving a lot. I expect her to be moving a lot in the pit
04:34today, for sure. Yeah, she's gonna have to be to find a way inside that towering figure of Aline
04:39Pereira. Let's go ahead and welcome these two fighters. This is Aline Pereira and Dee Begley.
04:45Aline Pereira is from the legendary Pereira family. Her brother is one of the greatest
05:04combat sports athletes in history.
05:23She has identical knockout power just like her brother.
05:27My name is Dee Begley and I'm from Ireland. Begley trains in Ireland at Conor McGregor's gym
05:31with Hall of Famer Coach Kavanagh. I come from a McGendal kickboxing background.
05:38My striking is quite dynamic, so expect a flashy fight. Fighting out of Ireland
05:42obviously has that great Irish boxing technique. And she's a complete fighter with over 10
05:46MMA bouts. Aline, you better be ready for my power. I hit like a train. I'm sure you
05:51some of your brothers have to expect something like that.
06:08Introducing first, out of the blue corner, representing Ireland, Dee Begley.
06:22The Irish girl is coming. Dee Begley makes her way to the pit for her karate combat debut.
06:30A very fittest traditional striker, got some MMA experience, some boxing experience.
06:34Game plan is going to be to use the lead leg, move, try and be a lot faster.
06:38As you did say, she might look for some spinning kicks and particularly some spinning back fists.
06:44Very smart, you know, because when they close the distance, they can walk on the back fist
06:48or walk on that back kick. Not spinning, but the back kick to the body. That's a powerful weapon.
06:52She's very, very tough. She's very, very durable as well. She's going to be able to take a lot of
06:57damage if she has to, to try and work her way into this one. And her opponent, out of the red corner,
07:08representing Brazil, Aline Pereira.
07:20I didn't know if she was going to walk out to Alex's walkout song.
07:23Yeah, and then pull the button.
07:26Well, you know, she's trying to make a name for herself here. Of course, we have got to mention
07:29in her corner tonight is the current USD light heavyweight champ, Alex Pereira. Of course,
07:34he defended his title successfully for the third time at UFC 307, right here in Salt Lake City,
07:40just last week. And we've got ourselves another David versus Goliath situation here, you know,
07:47second one in a row. I think it's also Begley has zero pressure, right? No pressure on Pereira.
07:53Yeah, 34 years old, brings a good kickboxing record into this one for her debut, originally
07:58from Sao Paolo. Last fall, September of 2023, she's going to pick a shot. She told us it's
08:05going to be very calculated, use her range, got that big left hook as well. Utilize that
08:11huge high advantage, try and put herself in title contention quickly.
08:15Fighters, enter the pit.
08:27Mind your free time capsule at deloreanlabs.com. This is your chance to win a new Delorean EV
08:32and other iconic prizes, including VIP cards at the pits. Keep an eye out for the next exclusive
08:37drop. Hashtag when Delorean. White pants for Begley, black pants for Pereira.
08:48And I've got to say, what's interesting is actually in the pit now,
08:50the height advantage seems less just because Pereira is sitting down on herself quite a lot.
08:57That means she's ready to throw hard shots when you sit down on your punches.
09:03She's got Alex looking right over her shoulder there behind. I wonder if he's more nervous about
09:08this or his own fight. 100%. I'm always more nervous for my students, so I can only imagine.
09:25I like the open stance a little bit there for Pereira because it gives her a lot of power
09:29on your left. A lot of Brazilians in the crowd tonight, partially for Pereira, partially as well
09:35because we've got our Pit Submission Series coming up at the end of tonight with a lot of
09:40Brazilians taking part in that grappling event. Stick around at the end of Karate Combat 50
09:44for those battles. Alex is talking to her. Begley needs to move in faster if she wants to connect.
09:58She needs to blitz faster. But Pereira did tell us she would be calm, she would be calculated.
10:04We're seeing that so far. A very monocle feeling out process. Yeah, she needs to set up that low
10:10kick. You see, otherwise she wouldn't get countered. There's Alex Pereira in the corner of your screen.
10:19I'm wondering, is this the very single movement strike?
10:24Huh?
10:50It was like a lot of tension, wasn't it? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Because you're waiting for the moment.
10:54You know that Pereira is waiting to pull the trigger. And again, cross landed. Looks like a good
10:59amount of studying right now. When she throws, she connects. Pereira, a huge favorite with our
11:05token holders. You see on your screen there, 82% of them think she's going to be victorious.
11:24She said she had the big left hook and Begley stepped straight onto it.
11:28Oh, beautiful. Very nice check left hook. Boom on the money.
11:38I guess precision runs in the family, huh?
11:43If we can get a close-up shot of Di Begley's face there, she is.
11:47She may have a broken nose. A lot of blood coming from the face there.
11:52Very good at controlling the distance. Wow. I mean, that was lights out. Yeah. And like I said,
11:58everything she threw almost connected. She did it through wild shots. Here we go with the replay.
12:04Watch it as she comes in. Cross and now pass. Oh yeah, that was right on the nose. Right on the end
12:09of the nose. Cross hook. I thought it was a check hook, but that was an overhead. Wow. Yeah. That
12:17left hook is a family gene, it looks like. Boom. So much whip on it. Look at the power.
12:36They're immediately celebrating with her brother in the corner. Let's go ahead,
12:40throw this one down into the pit, get the official decision. Wow.
12:43Ladies and gentlemen, your winner by TKO, Aline Ferreira.
13:00Good show of respects afterwards.
13:05I think the women are really stealing the show tonight, guys. Two fantastic ladies.
13:12Wow. Well, Dean Thomas is with the Ferreira family. Let's go ahead and see what Aline has
13:22to say about that one. That was absolutely amazing. I mean, look at this crowd. I think
13:27you had everybody out of their seat. The combination, the right hand, the left hook,
13:32the left hook, does that just run in the family?
13:43Yeah, man. That's a Ferreira-less hook. My big brother, the one that showed me.
13:48She came in nine pounds overweight. Most people wouldn't have taken this fight.
13:53You still took the fight. Was there any disrespect in her coming in at nine pounds overweight?
13:59Man, I found it. I found a lot of lack of professionalism. And she said...
14:04First, she came in saying she wanted to fight at a weight that she wouldn't be able to beat.
14:09I accepted it. And then she didn't beat the weight again. And a lot of people said,
14:15I don't want to fight at a weight that I won't be able to beat. And I said,
14:19I don't want to fight at a weight that I won't be able to beat. And then she didn't beat the weight again.
14:24And then she didn't beat the weight again. And a lot of people were saying that I pushed her
14:31to get out of the cage. But from the beginning, she was provoking me.
14:35And today I showed her that I don't just have the last name. I'm Pereira in blood.
14:43Yeah, man. It was a big lack of professionalism, you know what I mean?
14:48First, she asked the fight to be booked. After we all signed to be booked five pounds heavier,
14:53we accept. Then she show up nine pounds heavier. Then, you know what I mean, on the face off,
14:59on the wings, many people say that I did too much by pushing out of that box.
15:02But she talk a lot of crap. She say that I was just here because of having Pereira on my name.
15:09But guess what, Pereira run on my blood. And that's what I show tonight.
15:17So your brother came to the UFC and just skyrocketed to the top right away.
15:23Can we expect that type of ascension from you here at Karate Kombat?
15:39Be waiting. I want to be back here soon.
15:41Well, we can't wait to have you. Ladies and gentlemen, make some noise for Eleni Perez.
15:53That was deeply, deeply moving. You know, you could feel the pressure. You could feel the
15:59intensity, the anxiety when you watch that. And imagine what Eleni Pereira is feeling.
16:05She's there focused on an opponent who's coming at her. She's got to control her breathing,
16:10control her biology, control her emotions, and slowly get rid of all distractions and thought
16:18until it all zooms in on nothing but the opponent. And it is in these moments that
16:24somebody becomes aware of their existence and what they were put on earth to do.
16:28And Eleni, like her brother Alex, bang, bink, just landed so perfectly. But it was in the mind
16:35and in the body and in the self-control to create that beautiful, beautiful moment.
16:40That was deeply inspiring. Thank you.
16:43Oh, yes. Thank you, Robin. You know, guys, we said it a couple of times.
16:49She was here to make a name for herself.
