00:00Jeff Ulbricht now the interim head coach. They did make a little bit of a change in the coaching staff. So Nathaniel Hackett was the offensive coordinator, although technically he still is the offensive coordinator. But the bad news for Nate is he's basically been chopped. He's not going to be calling the plays anymore. Instead, it's going to be Todd Downing. Who? Who's going to be calling the plays?
00:30Now we always love this, Scotty. Here's this Ulbricht who's now been thrown into the fire as the Jet New head coach, where he's got to tell everybody he's made a change, but still lather up the guy that he took all the responsibility for. So Hackett's done such a great job, but I'm going to chop him from all his responsibilities. Here's Ulbricht.
00:50I'm going to make Todd Downing the play caller for the New York Jets going forward. And this is more a byproduct of a different take on things. I'm not saying it's a better or worse take on things by any means, but just a different take on things, a fresh approach. So ultimately, Todd will have the full say on the game plan and ultimately the plays that are called within the game.
01:14Saying that as well, just another testament to the human being that Nathaniel Hackett is. The fact that he's going to give us everything in his body and heart and soul. He's going to continue to be a big part of the success we're going to have going forward from an offensive perspective. I feel so fortunate that he is staying with us.
01:35I mean, here's a guy that's been coaching this morning and willing to draw cards, willing to do whatever it takes. So the true heart of the story, I feel so fortunate that he's on our staff.
01:47Oh, my God, it won't. Now, listen, listen, he's going to be coaching high school football by, I think, Thanksgiving. Hackett like he's done in the NFL. He's done. You know, no one in college was going to want him either. He's not a he's not a Matt rule. He's not. He's coaching high school football like next year for sure.
02:13Like, honestly, he's not his his reputation is ruined. And to hear this guy, not him like that. That was embarrassing. That was that was amateur hour right there. Like, are you kidding? What's next? He's going to send his white flowers.
02:29He's not going to call the plays anymore. He's not going to come up with the game plan anymore. Everything. But I'm so but I'm so glad he's going to stick around and give me everything that he's got. You wonder why he's sticking around? Because he's Aaron's good buddy. And Aaron's like, yeah, you can't get rid of him. You want to take the plate going away? Fine. But he's my best friend. And I'm sorry, you can't chop them. I'm never going to allow it. Oh, my God, that was painful.
