00:07The existing visitor's centre on the Leawood side of the bridge is being rebranded to the
00:12Clifton Suspension Bridge Museum. It comes after the Clifton Suspension Bridge Trust
00:18was awarded accredited museum status by Arts Council England.
00:24The museum accreditation application process took approximately three years, during which
00:29time the Trust's archivists worked to ensure documents, drawings, photographs and objects
00:35were properly catalogued, preserved and made accessible to the public.
00:43Open to the public seven days a week, the museum welcomes tens of thousands of visitors
00:48each year. Inside visitors can discover objects from the museum's collection and learn how
00:53the bridge was constructed and maintained today.
